If you’re visiting Nizwa, we’d definitely recommend staying at the Omani Guest House. We spent two nights in Nizwa: one at the Omani Guest House and one at another traditional inn - and we much preferred the Omani Guest House. The main reason was Ali, the owner, and all the amazing staff. They were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay really enjoyable. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, right by Nizwa Souq, so everything from cafes to restaurants is just a short walk away. The rooms have a lovely traditional decor, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely return.

The host was incredibly thoughtful and responsive—every question we had was answered promptly and clearly, which made checking in and settling down so easy. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on. We also really appreciated the separate shower room and kitchen—both were well-equipped, modern, and super clean. Everything felt fresh, cozy, and carefully prepared.

Our local Omani host was amazing and we learned lots from him over tea! Highly recommend staying here for an authentic experience living in the mountains for a night.

The property is well equiped house with 2 bedrooms 2 badrooms.Everything was very clean.It is located directly at the start of Balcony walk what is great for the trek.There we no food options at night.We agreed to have dinner and breakfast at neighborhood house and it was great value for money.Food was very delicious and authentic.Hosts were really nice.Really recommend this accomodation.
