What we loved about the camp is that it is made by a few tents and it is on a dune. The place is quiet, clean and offers a great experience. Hilal and his brother are the most exquisite hosts we could ask for - caring and attentive.

This was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed so much about it. Saud has created a beautiful, quiet, comfortable space for a small number of people to have an intimate experience in the desert, an homage to his experience growing up in Bidiyah. From beautiful tents to private bathrooms to wonderful food, Desert Waves is an amazing place to experience the desert, the stars, the scenery and experiences like camel rides or visits to local spots. We met some lovely people (fellow travelers) in the camp that we shared meals with, and Saud and his staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. FYI, two taxi drivers from Muscat quoted us 50 OMR each way to drive us to Bidiyah, and renting a car ourselves was less than half of that amount.

Great camp with beautiful view over the dunes, lovely staff, the best food (dinner and breakfast), super helpful,… would give 11/10 if I could. I celebrated my birthday with them and they made it an unforgettable one, with fireworks and cake. It’s the place to be for your stay in the desert!

Everything was phenomenal, and the hosts were outstanding. Close to the campsite, there is a spot with a breathtaking view of both the sunset and sunrise. The food was absolutely delicious. After dinner, we gathered around the campfire, listening to stories about their people and way of life. At the end of the evening, we all danced together to their music. The people were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend

Said, the owner is super friendly and welcoming. Food is very delicious and aboundant, great location in the desert in the nature. Solar panels provide elactricity for light innthe tent and to charge your phone. We loved our stay here, thank you Said for the great experience!

Back to Bidiya after 6 years, although this time I opted for a private experience and this stay, precisely catered to my need. Perfect setup for a personal and private experience of the sands... A place I will always treasure!! Visited with my family the experience was great with no complaints. The tents, the food, the washrooms all very well maintained. The provision to watch stars aswell is amazing. The camels were nice and friendly and my kids enjoyed being around them. The guide/host Mr. Hamad was just a very helpful and so was the staff that was tending to us. Hardly comeby places with nothing to complain this truly was a good experience!!

Beforehand the communication was good. Since we couldn't make it in time for a pick up, we drove to the camp ourselves. With the help of Google, it's really not a problem. You'll need a 4x4 though. The camp is nestled between the dunes. The huts are simple yet comfortable. Dinner as well as breakfast were delicious. Vegetarian and vegan options were available. Rasheed and his family were great hosts.
