We have just left Arusha after a short but extremely fulfilling stay at Safari Villa. Prior to our 36 hour visit we had great communication with George. We were met from our late night flight at the airport, warmly greeted at the Villa and shown to our immaculately clean room. Food was great and hospitality exceptional. Brian (brother of George) spent the day with us guiding us to various sites in Arusha. Following this we were invited to share in a Communion celebration for George’s daughter. Two of our group participated, dined on the rooftop of a lovely hotel with George’s family and friends, witnessed the love and affection shown toward the beautifully dressed daughter. Two of our group stayed back and enjoyed a home cooked Swahili meal and the warmth of an evening campfire. Arusha was great! The hospitality and experiences provided by the host family of the Safari Villa went above and beyond our expectations. It was a rich and rewarding experience.

We loved everything about Stasumo House. The house and the surrounds are beautiful and peaceful with different little areas to relax in..by the pool, in the hammock, day beds in the garden etc. The place is breathtaking at night when the fire pit and garden lights are lit and you can have a beer at the little bar and watch the sun go down with the dogs at your feet. But by far the best thing about Stasumo was our hosts, Cecile and Marley. (and Issah of course) Nothing was enough trouble, arranging transport, cooking delicious dinners, doing our laundry, providing water, irons, bottles of wine etc...we learned a lot and laughed even more. It was a really special, very personal experience. They truly felt like friends for the four days we spent there. Thank you so much for everything. We will treasure the memories.

I had an amazing time during my stay with Innocent and his helper Batistar. They were both incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Breakfast was perfectly arranged every morning. The place is a kind of guesthouse where other bikepackers stay as well, offering a unique opportunity to meet new people and share stories. Innocent even took me on a tour around Arusha, giving me a chance to experience the city from a local perspective.

Breakfast was awesome, very considerate of them. The location is a bit far, but still quite close to the city center, considering the quality of the place.

The host was wonderful, very nice and friendly. He made medicine for our daughter when she had stomach problems after traveling. Papaya, mango and bananas grow in the garden. You can also feed the bunnies. It was safe, simple and friendly.

The tent was beautifully designed — rustic yet very comfortable, with every detail made from natural materials that perfectly blended with the environment. Waking up to birdsong and having coffee surrounded by greenery was pure serenity. The staff were very kind and helpful, always making sure everything was perfect. The pool area was also stunning — especially at sunset. It was the ideal place to unwind, read, and reconnect with nature. If you’re looking for a calm and authentic African glamping experience, this place is a hidden gem. I left with beautiful memories and would definitely love to come back! 🌅🏕️

We have stayed with Victoria and Martin before. They are so accommodating we look forward to return again soon. They are most amazing hosts and Victoria’s cooking is delicious!

The house has a night guard to keep the security of the place.
