It’s so important to have proper communication when travelling and I had that with Arthur (the owner). He was quick to respond and there to help anyway he could. He was kind enough to talk about the area and take me on a tour, which I enjoyed immensely. The tiny home has everything you need and is very comfortable. There’s clean drinking water, an equipped kitchen, an outdoor barbecue and other essentials (like a mini portable washer, beach towels and over the shoulder mini cooler) … the home’s very clean and comfortable and even the resident geckos are super friendly! I found they put a lot of thought into little details inside the cottage. The night sky is unbelievably beautiful and you also have an ocean view in a quiet and safe neighbourhood…I’m looking forward to coming back!

We had the best time in Patrick’s stay. The accommodation was perfect, close to nature, clean, well equipped in an amazing location. We loved all the details such as a vinyl player with Hawaiian songs. Patrick was a great host, he suggested local recommendations which made us see the ‘real Hawaii’. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

The hospitality was outstanding—warm, welcoming, and truly made our stay special. Highly recommend and would love to return!

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

Kilauea House nabízí ubytování v destinaci Volcano. Kilauea je 18 km odtud a Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo 45 km. A lot of care is being put into running this place and you as a guest can feel it. The breakfasts in the morning were incredible and private with abundance of breakfast varieties. The hosts are very friendly and easy to contact, they also have good recommendations for the area. There is a small fireplace to enjoy during cold nights. You are very close to the National Park and some restaurants (still driving distance). Arriving before the tour busses can make the national park experience much better. Overall, one of the best experiences we have had. If we would return, it would be to this same place.

Great place to rest your soul! Relax in the hot tub and watch the stars and the Milky Way! Troy is a great host too, responsive and helpful. Ocean View Paradise is a calm oasis and a great home base to some of the greatest beaches in this world and volcano national Park. There are also supermarkets, restaurants and food trucks close by as well as coffee plantations for your morning coffee. We will come back if we can!
