We chose this accommodation based on the photos and the stellar reviews by previous visitors, and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners, a friendly dog and Oscar the cat, and we were showed around the farm. The accommodation itself is beautifully-furnished and the breakfast was delicious.

The Thoughtful Dog felt like a home away from home. The B&B couldn't have been a better experience and the name says it all - Steve is the most thoughtful host and his dog, Nico, is the best companion. We stayed 4 nights at the Thoughtful Dog and Steve provided us with plenty of suggestions on things to do outside of our already planned activities. Steve takes great care of his place and puts a lot of thought into making sure all his guests are comfortable. We drove into Gros Morne National Park everyday and thought the location was great because we didn't mind an hour drive back and forth. We also really appreciate Steve allowing us to use his kitchen and laundry during our stay! Great amenities like hot tub, sauna and even a foosball table! What a great time with good company!

Met the other guests We felt so at home We’d been travelling for 6 weeks by this visit and appreciated everything It’s a beautiful home and well set up for visitors. Brad had a wonderful spread out next morning for breakfast. Good information on things in the area.

Our stay at the Rooms at Woody Point was really laid back. Our room was #5 and was very clean. It has a well stocked kitchenette. The rain shower was great and they have in-floor heating in the shower room! The view from our king room was stunning of the Gros Morne National park, Tableland Mountains and Bonne Bay. Such a magnificent view! The king bed was very comfortable with the best pillows. You can order breakfast the night before and Helen or Donna will bring it to your room the night before, so you can have it in the morning. You’ll have a choice of 5. The Pizza on the Porch is more than just pizza. It is a gastronomy of flavours from different cultures. There’s a 4 course meal that starts off with a local appetizer, we had the shredded Rabbit confit, ginger carrot soup, salad with herbs from her garden and of course pizza. We had the Giovanni and my favourite the French Shore pizza. We finish with a chocolate pudding. Oh so good!! Great big shout out to Helen for making everything clean and comfortable and to our incredible owner/chef and host, Donna! If you’re ever in the area and need a place to stay we highly recommend the Rooms at Woody Point! Not only for the room and view but the food as well!
