Everything! Kai was the most gracious and accommodating host you could ever imagine. He provided so many extra supplies that one might need while traveling and made sure that all our needs we met, including umbrellas, raincoats and shopping bags if needed. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We shared a bathroom, which turned out to be no inconvenience whatsoever. We highly recommend Guesthouse Casa Esperanza in Basel and hope you take advantage of Kai’s wonderful hospitality.

I've spent a night in the room, as i was traveling for work, and i needed to buy some personal stuff, and Isan (the person who receives you) helped me a lot about where i could find good stores and good prices around the area as she is a local. She's very friendly, and you get a surprise gift after leaving the place!! I would reserve a room again if I'm around.

Super clean and well kept Hôtel. 1. From the arrival courtyard side: pretty trendy industrial old decor buildings as good looking as for an inspired movie shooting like cinema studios kind of a thing.. with many green plants as for a relaxing protected area « Voir Privée residents only » type, isolated from the city’s streets.. 2. And from the street side (seen from some rooms windows as my room) a calm Street (no cars almost, only the tram passes descretly without noise) and a tram stop just down the elevator of the building itself! Super practical!!! Well isolated windows but no need because no noise. Really calm nights. All is supervised and followed at all times of the day by an accommodating flexible open minded young and experienced staff, downstairs the hotel is located an ORGANIC restaurant very affordable and alive. Simple rooms, « IMPECABLE » cleanness as French says (perfect) Really good spirit place! We recommend.

This was an excellent place to stay if visiting Basel, especially the old city. Room was large, clean and modern, quiet in a great location. Staff were very helpful. Great breakfast. Parking available nearby.
