The hotel grounds were spectacular, and the location was perfect for many activities in the area - we especially enjoyed exploring along the river and nearby trails, and it was a short drive to some incredible beaches. The food, service, and rooms were absolutely top notch, and we would absolutely recommend this hotel!

El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. Very charmfull place with goergous ocean view from the balcony in the room and from the hotel restaurant. Owners are very accommodating and helpful. They would like you to make you feel like a home! I really recommend this place to stay! :)

This place is a real gem, located about 20 minutes by car from Minca. We are a family of four and absolutely loved our stay. Everything was excellent—especially the warm welcome we received from the staff, who made us feel right at home. The property grounds are beautiful, filled with lush nature and vibrant flowers, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The pool was excellent and perfect for cooling off, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, which included fresh fruits and delicious typical Colombian dishes. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely go back.
