This was a last-minute booking whilst on our road trip, and I am so happy to have stumbled upon it! A gorgeous location and the hotel is very charming. We stayed in a ground floor suite, which had patio doors that opened up onto the river bank. Dinner was delicious, and our breakfast was yummy too.

I'm generally not a person that stays in small huts like this, but I was positively surprised by this one. It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!

Beata was very friendly and even made an earlier check in possible. Thank you very much for that! Room had personal details about her work as jewellery designer which I find very nice. I might look into her Etsy shop! We stayed for only one night but if we ever come back to Stonehaven we will definitely book here again. :)

We stayed at Craggan for two nights, and the whole stay was just wonderful. The reception by Martyn was very warm, friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful and very comfortable, and Louise's cooking was truly exceptional. All in all this was just a very pleasant stay for which we are very grateful. Located in the heart of Cairngorms there is plenty to do as well (we went for hiking, but just as easily we could have visited Balmoral castle for instance, or we could just have relaxed in the beautiful countryside), and Ballater has plenty of good options for dinner. We found our hosts extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. Louise's cooking is reason enough in itself to stay at this place, but truly the whole experience was just wonderful. Highly recommended!

Cosy and modern 1 bedroom garden house - very dog friendly! poskytuje bezplatné Wi-Fi a terasu. Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club se nachází 22 km odtud a Aberdeen Harbour 30 km. The house was exactly as described, very cozy and well furnished. Tina welcomed us warmly and also gave us a couple eggs from her hens and some milk. Would have stayed more!

We only have praise words for abbeyfield b&b! Rooms super comfy, the house renovated in extremely good taste, the host Kira absolutely lovely. Breakfast plentiful, and -pleasant surprise- vegan haggis! Strongly recomment!
