We were pleasantly surprised with a maisonette upgrade, having an ideal layout for groups of friends, offering both privacy and comfort. Breakfast was delicious with homemade products, including the most amazing apple juice of Makis! The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional, making us feel right at home! A cozy fireplace with free wood created the perfect après-ski atmosphere, and the outdoor grill was a great addition for a gathering. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and perfectly located getaway! Maki, Danae, Gianni, and Dimitra, we will definitely be back!

We stayed 3 nights at Montecristo chalet on a long week-end ski outing at Mt. Kaimaktsalan (2,050-2,500m alt.), Macedonia's best ski resort in Greece. Nowhere in alpine Europe could we find such a better value for money ski village and hotel accommodation. The Macedonian chalet architecture and interior design are outstanding, bedroom comfy, breakfast wonderful. A special mention and expression of gratitude is due to Ms Sofia, our cheerful chalet host for her professionalism and attention to detail. We will definitely come back to Montecristo chalet at Palaios Aghios Athanasios village.

The location was great, breakfast had very good options and the staff was kind and helpful. Clean towels were provided daily as well as soap. The fireplace was the highlight! Definitely returning!

I really liked the apartment. Everything was clean. Everything worked, including a wood-burning fireplace and sitting around it. The owner was simply wonderful, a very decent, kind, and responsive person. It was a pleasure meeting such a nice person. I hope to definitely stay again next time. He has wonderful apartments and an excellent breakfast. Everything is superb.

Amazing room, so comfortable and cozy after a day in the crisp weather! The hydromasssage is very relaxing and the fireplace made us not want to leave the room. We also loved the breakfast. The owner is a lovely, kind lady. Very happy with this choice.

Excellent location with very warm and cosy rooms in the heart of Agios Athanasios. The reception area was also really cosy and the breakfast delicious. Most of all, the staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming, always more than eager to help with anything we needed! Highly recommended!
