This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. We did the ring road while driving in Iceland and we booked seven places where we stayed. Out of these 7 places I have to say that Berunes was by far the best one. It was an amazing experience and the host is super friendly and helpful. But the reason why we liked Berunes the most was because it was a step back in time. The house where we stayed was built in the 1900s and the furniture is rustic but there are all the facilities needed. We are a family of four and we had two separate rooms and a private bathroom. Just next to the house there is a small church and also a restaurant. The restaurant was closed at the time of our visit, in April, but they will open it in summer. The landscape surrounding the hostel is also amazing. There is a lake in front of the house and the mountain at the back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and spend some enjoyable time in the middle of nature.

Ormurinn Cottages se nachází ve městě Egilsstadir. Ve všech prostorách je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. Chata má kuchyňský kout, TV s plochou obrazovkou a terasu s grilem (k dispozici pouze v létě). A cozy, clean cottage in a beautiful, quiet location with an incredible lake view, on our way through stunning Iceland. The cottage isn't very large, but it's perfectly adequate for two. Be ready to keep it clean and leave it tidy after yourself. There's nothing to complain about. Thank you so much for the perfect accommodations.

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Velice hezké moderní ubytování. Pohodlná postel s několika polštáři na výběr, pokoj menší ale útulný. Vybavená koupelna a kuchyně. Doporučujeme připlatit si za lázně, mají optimální teplotu a k dispozici je i sauna a široká nabídka drinků.

Hótel Gerpir se nachází v destinaci Neskaupstaður a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a pokoje s klimatizací. Amazing place to stay, beautiful view, really nice room and fantastic staff. The breakfast was really good as well!

Fjalladýrð Hotel se nachází v destinaci Modrudalur a nabízí zahradu. Na místě je terasa a využívat můžete také bezplatné Wi-Fi a neplacené soukromé parkoviště. I'm confident to say that this is my absolute favorite stay in Iceland. And I've been to this country 10+ times.

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses se nachází v destinaci Egilsstadir a poskytuje zahradu, soukromou pláž, terasu a výhled na hory. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Greystone summerhouse se nachází v destinaci Egilsstadir a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi, neplacené soukromé parkoviště a výhled do zahrady. Hengifoss se nachází 37 km odtud. The house has several good points, including house is quiet and clean, shower water is strong enough, having free parking space beside the house. However, it would be convenient when providing a washing machine.
