Room is a great size and bed was very comfortable and clean. Francisco speaks excellent English, helped us book tours and was very responsive on WhatsApp during our stay, he also allowed us to store our luggage before our overnight bus. Location is about a 25 minute walk from the main centre of town with the tourist attractions, we liked walking around the neighbourhoods so this was't an issue. The street is very quiet which allowed us a peaceful sleep but still has several restaurants within a few minutes walk if you don't want to go into the centre of town (we really liked Tlayudas El Negro, La Cevicheria Oaxaca and the street Memelitas across the road). Is also only a 10 minute walk to a large supermarket.

We adored this place and having stayed in 6 different places during our 2 week trip in Mexico, this was the favorite. The location is out of this world. Hardly any construction along the coast and not many people. It is truly a most relaxing place.

From the beginning, his communication was prompt and helpful, and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome — even letting us check in two hours early. When we arrived, he was there to greet us, show us around the property, and even gave us a lift around town to point out his favourite restaurants and help us drop off our laundry. The air conditioning was excellent, and the ceiling fans also worked beautifully — we were always cool and comfortable, even on the hotter days. It was quite unique too — there were no windows to the outside, just wooden shutters and fly screens, which gave it a really peaceful feel that we’d never experienced before. Throughout our stay, Diego continued to be an incredible host. He had great recommendations for food and things to do, and even organised a taxi to collect our laundry when we got caught up at the beach and couldn’t make it back before the shop closed. We also loved the location — just 15 minutes outside of La Punta, it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind, with some of the best beaches within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a more peaceful, local experience in Puerto Escondido with a genuinely thoughtful and knowledgeable host.
