It's a beautiful place and I recommend you to stay there! It is the first homestay when you arrive and therefore it has the best view over the rice fields. It was a bit difficult to find because on the sign there is a different name and on google maps it was not the correct location... We had a delicious dinner with the very friendly and nice owners. The room is small but the terrace is huge and with a nice view.

Luan, the owner was incredibly kind and generous during our stay. Even though it was a busy holiday week he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip including booking a bus from Hanoi to Ba Be and back (local busses only can be tricky when you don't speak Vietnamese) and suggested places to visit and rented us a kayak a motorbike at last minute notice. The food at his restaurant is the best we have had in Vietnam and the dorm rooms were clean spacious and quiet. Of you are travelling to Ba Be I highly recommend staying here. The Hua Ma cave is fantastic. I highly recommend checking it out!

No one was around to receive me, but they told me to let myself in and get comfortable. The dinner was sized for 2-3 people and I was a solo traveler, but it was delicious. The breakfast was also good and both meals were reasonably priced. This is March and the temperature was cold, but the room was cozy with a heater and warm blankets. The only drawback was the booking description states ‘private bathroom’, but they are all shared facilities.

This is a great place to stay in ba be lake Rooms are very clean, spacious, airy and comfortable, high ceiling, king sized beds, with lots of space. Best aircon i had in vietnam, probably because of the room large space. The rooms are right by the water, so from the boat you go straight into the room. The owner can pick you up from the jetty too, if needed. Also a boat tour and kayak cam be arranged. Two houses away there is a good restaurant. Ownrs are helpfull and welcomming . Overall recommended stay!
