Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.

It was just what we expected and more! From the tents to the views from the tents where we would sleep, the food, and most importantly the staff, everything and everyone were just perfect!

The staff was extremely kind, the place is beautiful and it’s really camping in the wild with the comfort of a bed and the safety of security staff

From the moment we stepped off the jeep and onto the conservancy, we were greeted with impeccable service! Purity, David, Nixon—just to name a few—went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. We enjoyed a variety of activities organized by the team, including hiking with a local guide, a stunning sundowner safari, as well as running and biking through the conservancy. The food was absolutely phenomenal, with delicious three-course meals for both lunch and dinner, and thoughtful accommodations for vegetarians. The tents were spacious and exceeded our expectations with private balconies and bathrooms…having the hot water bottles nestled in the our after arriving from dinner was an unbelievable nice touch! We wholeheartedly recommend this camp—it was an unforgettable experience!

We want to thanks the all team from the bottom of our heart. They made this trip to Kenya higher than we expected. The masai people and culture is wonderful. As Martine told us from day one “from now on you’re part of the family” and this how we felt. Even our 6 and 7 yo enjoyed their time there, they even asked them to continue the trip together. We did the bush walk, visiting the school, making fire, creating bracelets, arrow… so many experiences. The food was also very good - much higher than what we expected. The view is breathtaking and the camp is well-maintain and clean. We also did the safari day tour in Masai Mara with Edwardo - who was more than amazing as I lost my phone during this trip and he was able to recover it after a few days and sent it back from me to Nairobi (a miracle - thanks to him!). Guys just to let you know that we miss you so much! (Martine kids are drawing you as a reminder of our time with you).

Dear Leakey, dear David, dear Eric, dear Alex, dear Moses, dear Samson, dear Reagan, you all have made our honeymoon at the Masai Mara unforgettable. The minute we arrived, we felt at home.It was everything we could have dreamed of. Thank you from the bottom of or hearts. We will surely come back soon !

The Fig Tree Camp – Maasai Mara se nachází uprostřed národního parku Maasai Mara na břehu řeky Talek. Nabízí ubytování s vlastní koupelnou, bazén a restauraci. The manager was so helpful, always having time for you whenever you have a question or two, great guy. The staffs were so friendly, helpful and supportive also. The masai guys and the guards around the property gave us some proper lesson about the animals around the property. They were like tour guides, great job.

Mara Green Heart se nachází v destinaci Sekenani. Z ubytování se otevírá výhled na město a výhled na hory. Luxusní stan má TV s plochou obrazovkou. Super location with tents spaced out between private winding paths on a hill with a view. Dining area with fireplace and washroom. Tents with washroom also. Great dinner was an added bonus. This was super for a group of work colleagues visiting the park.

Kandili Camp se nachází v destinaci Musiara Campsite a poskytuje bezplatné Wi-Fi a bar. K dispozici je vlastní koupelna s kompletním vybavením včetně sprchy a bezplatných toaletních potřeb. It's an excellent place in the heart of safari. The staff was very helping. The food was good. The tent cottage was very spacious and spotless clean.
