Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

The bungalow was placed in the most beautiful surroundings in the jungle just before entering the forest. Great friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Helped us to set up the most amazing tour in the jungle finding orangutans. Fantastic place and highly recommended!

We enjoyed it here so much, we extended our stay. It is very close to the nature, if you are lucky you can see Orang-Utans and other monkeys in the garden. The river is very close and you can hear it in the evening.

Wonderful location - woke up with sunrise and got to watch the sky change colour over the hills of the jungle. There was a mini-trek to the lodge, about 30 minutes. Uddin the host kept all my valuables and heavy items safe in his home in the city so i didn't have to carry them. He also helped me get to bukit lawang with directions over whatsapp since i took the public bus (don't recommend, they've increased prices for tourists, almost same as tourist bus now), and cooked us a free dinner because we were hungry when we arrived - he was a super kind and welcoming host. If you're going to do trekking, I would highly recommend booking it through him. I booked the 2d/1n with him and it was one of the best experiences of my life, I cannot recommend it enough. We saw 6 Orangutans, some Thomas leaf monkeys, Macaques, a tortoise, and a giant Goanna. The minimum prices are the exact same across all companies, but not all are locally-owned like this one.

This place was amazing! The bungalow was so nice spacious, clean and the view from the terrace was overlooking the jungle. Their restaurant menu is great and the food was delicious. We also took a jungle trekking tour with them; it was so cool. We saw so many orangutans during the 6-hour walk in the jungle. I was really happy with the place and would stay here again.

This accommodation exceeds my wildest expectations completely. It offers a breathtaking view over the rice-fields, which truly is amazing. Every morning, I took the time to meditate in the attic of the meeting place. The cottage itself is truly beautiful and has a small bridge over a pond filled with stunning fish. It has almost a Japanese atmosphere. Gorgeous! In addition, the staff is always ready with a big smile and they are available all day to help. In the morning, a wonderful breakfast is prepared for me with great care, everything taken care of doen to the smallest detail. Moreover, I can work well here thanks to excellent WiFi connection. I also slept wonderfully here; the bed has a comfortable mattress and there is a great fan available. Within walking distance, you will find various shops along an excellent road, so everything is easily accessible. If I needed something, they quickly arrange it by scooter or they bring and pick me up without hesitation. I am absolutely 100% planning to come back here and would recommend this place to anyone.

We did the trek 2 days 1 night and it was perfect! Our team guides were very attentive and they show us lot of different wild animals such as 🦧 and 🙉. The food also was amazing, we had cookers in the campsite. We highly recommend staying at Eco trekking lodge, and if you have the opportunity, do the trek also, it’s such a great experience!
