My wife and I recently stayed at Tabari Dive Lodge, and it was nothing short of magical. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful location with its own private beach, offering the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. Every meal was exceptional—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. Our fist meal the evening we arrived was grilled stuffed King Prawns!! One unforgettable detail: while dining, we watched black-tip reef sharks and moray eels gliding beneath us in the water, It was like dining in an aquarium. The staff went above and beyond. When my wife wasn’t feeling well, they brought her meals to her in bed and even made her a soothing homemade ginger tea. Their kindness and attention made all the difference. Special thanks to Bridget, the owner, who was always around and ready to help with anything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. As for the diving—absolutely world class. We experienced so many unforgettable moments, including a giant manta ray that hovered above us—a true bucket list moment! Even snorkeling just off the beach was incredible. We genuinely loved everything about our stay. If you're looking for unspoiled beauty, amazing marine life, top-notch service, and unforgettable diving, Tabari Dive Lodge is the place to go. We’re already planning our return! We stayed at the Swiss Belhotel before and after Tabari, it's a perfect transit hotel, clean and convenient. We stayed on Gam at Methos for a few nights and and the remainder of our stay on Kri and we really wished we had stayed at Methos longer. What I liked the most was the coral reef in front of the bungalow as it was absolutely stunning. You can see so much wildlife right from the deck. I saw baby sharks, stingrays, cuttlefish, etc directly in front which is wonderful for snorkelers. The room itself was very comfortable, with shelves to unpack your things and a large four-poster kingsize bed. The bathrooms are around 100 meters from the rooms and were clean enough. Alternatively....there is the ocean. They give you water tanks for fresh water to drink from and use for washing your hands in your rooms as well as large thermoses each day containing boiled, hot water for coffee/tea. We went on three tours with Methos as well - Gam, Manusuar, and the bird watching tour. The tours were all well-planned and well-organized. I went on many tours from Kri, but the day I went with Methos to Manusuar, I saw way more. About 15 minutes from Methos, we jumped off the boat and saw about 15 Mantas swimming together at the surface. The guide from the guidehouse brought banana peels and when we went to Yenbuba jetty, we were surrounded by tons of tropical fish which was really amazing. We saw around 5-6 turtles. The jellyfish lake was also really closeby and it was so cool to swim with jellyfish that weren't constantly attacking you (which wasn't the case for Kri..). The bird watching tour didn't end up resulting in seeing too much, but that's just a matter of luck, not the fault of the tour. As for the room, they gave us a container to keep food in so we didn't have any issues with pests. The homestay is also close to three villages that sell snacks and drinks which wasn't the case for Kri island. It's nice to be able to go for a walk and stretch your legs and the locals were all friendly towards us.

Love the terrace with a comfortable hammock and sufficient lighting for reading at night, and a fresh water source outside each bungalow to clean my dive gear and clothing—such great conveniences! This seems obvious but this combination was not available at two other places I stayed at, one of which was more expensive too. The room size is great, the bed is comfortable with a mosquito net, there is a fan and there are shelving and a lockable cupboard for valuables. Indoor attached bathroom (I love the stones in the design and a divider between shower and toilet) and hot shower at night are luxuries at this location and price point. Diving with Tarzan-Diving was great and their daily pickup and drop-off to and from dive shop on Gam was convenient and well priced. It was nice to have a bit more comfort while still being able to dive around Kri, and not having to stay at more basic accommodations in order to do so. The owner put a lot of thought and care in attending to details and was really super accommodating in helping with everything I needed, including providing me with a charging station when I brought an adaptor that didn’t work, and going fishing so we had fresh fish for our meals. I had a wonderful stay!

AMAZING snorkelling right off the jetty… the variety and abundance of coral and sea life along their house reef was just spectacular. Well maintained grounds. Great beach getaway atmosphere and good food. Friendly helpful staff, onsite dive shop and reasonable prices for equipment rental. Reliable speedboat transfer back to ferry terminal in Waisai.
