The beautiful setting makes you feel one with the surrounding nature. The staff were super helpful with organising scooter transport and other advice. We cannot thank them enough for helping us recover our wallet we left in a cab. Highly recommend.

The yoga pavilion offers panoramic views of the lake and volcano; the pool is refreshing and relaxing with stunning views; the staff are delightful and helpful; the bungalows are so airy and comfortable. A lot of people mention the bugs, but honestly that’s just part of being in a tropical location (and this is an eco resort after all). The beds have mosquito nets so we slept perfectly well at night!

A car rental service is available at Eco-Lodge El Porvenir.. We woke up very early for the volcano hike, and they prepared breakfast for us so we could eat before, that was really nice. The staff was very kind and attentive. The shower had hot water. The surroundings are nice, you eat in the morning surrounded by birds and flowers. The hike to Maderas starts at the entrance of the hotel, and the staff can help you to arrange a guide.
