Rodi’s tour of the Inca sites was nothing short of extraordinary—his passion and knowledge brought the history and spirit of the area to life. If you can, ask him to be your guide; you’ll gain so much insight and connection to the Sacred Valley! Claudia’s cooking was equally remarkable—each meal was a masterpiece filled with love and flavor. And, of course, we can’t forget Tupac, their adorable and friendly llama. Hugging him was such a unique and heartwarming experience! The lodge is a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and cultural immersion. To top it off, Rodi is beginning to organize Inca Trail tours with a big focus on ensuring porters are treated with the utmost care and respect. If you’re looking to explore one of the most unique places on Earth while supporting ethical practices, this is the place to start. We couldn’t recommend Spirit of the River Lodge more highly. Full spacious kitchen and overall a large space for the asking price. Beautiful friendly family who made us feel at home and welcomed.

Tania welcomed us with a smile and conversation. The balcony has a great view over the Pisac ruins. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and comfortable, which meant for a relaxing stay. It's a shame we could only stay one night! Though it is located a little out of the main centre of Pisac, I would say this is a good thing - there are collectivos and taxis which can take you down into the town and back.

Really homely. Our host was absolutely amazing. Super helpful and quick to respond. It was great to have Netflix for the kids to relax in the evening.
