We loved the location. Getting out of our room and being already on the beach is the best. Also we had a small patio with chairs and table outside of our room which was so comfortable to have if we wanted to sit outside and just talk and listen to the waves. There we had a little pond with water to wash the sand off our feet before getting inside which was so nice to have. More than a room we had like a small apartment with an entrance, a sofa, different places to hang our clothes and the bedroom had two beds. We had so much space, even the bathroom was spacious and everything worked nicely. We loved having a full mirror, small detail but so useful. We also had a small fridge. The restaurant was nice, and the breakfast offer as well. We liked having sunbeds beachfront, but inside the hotel area where beachboys and masaai couldn't get in. They could be very persistent and annoying and follow you for miles until you get in hotel area, which was delimited by a very nice swing. We loved our rooom, we wish we could have stayed more! The location, the size, everything was perfect.

Everything was more then perfect. When we arraived, we thought that we are dreaming. It was beautiful. I have to talk about the meal too, because i tried a lot of restaurants in zanzibar , but here in Safaya was the best food i ever ate in zanzibar. The chef is the best, is from india, but he cooks more then perfect. When i will come back in zanzibar, i only would go in Safaya. Thank you for everything.

I highly recommend this stay and surely if we'll visit Zanzibar again l. We will stay there if available.

After three nights, we really felt like it was our home away from home. The building is a wonder and itself worth the visit. Joyce and her team were so attentive, personable, and helpful and family-style meals were excellent. Utupoa sits directly on the beach and easily reachable by foot from the village of Matemwe. What a wonderful way for our family to get to know a corner of Zanzibar and to unwind from our adventures. Thank you, Joyce!

From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!
