What made my stay unforgettable was the warm smiles and genuine hospitality of exceptionally friendly staff - Deline, Angel and Armstrong. For accommodation in Oribi Gorge, this is a perfect place.

It has a small private game reserve where you can view giraffe, gnala, impala, wildebeest and tons of birds at a nice slow pace but is minutes away from others close by where you can view the big 5. The price/value ratio is excellent. The service is astoundingly good! Marli was just wonderful booking all the game drives that we wanted. Duiker has an excellent future ahead for itself.

Everyone we met was friendly and eager to make our 2 nights memorable. The room was incredible and is among the nicest I’ve had while in Africa. It’s right up there with the top lodges in game reserves. They had no issue bringing you down to the parking area anytime we wanted to leave and they were always available to pick you up upon returning. The pool and bar area were great to relax around in the afternoons and the quaint living and dining room was comfortable to spend time in during the evenings before dinner.

It was clean & my family really enjoyed, especially the kids. My husband is still crazy about the braai area. The walking distance to the beach & malls was amazing. The area was just lovely& quiet.

Already a nice aproach in lvely landscape the gane reserve is outstanding! Very very nice rooms with own fireplace (nice after cool afternoon safari). Phantanstic food, good choice!! Both safaris (morning and afternoon) in beazutiful landscape, hills, river, a liitle of everything. Sundowner inclusive! A really nice, intreresting, comfortable and luxurious place!! Thanks a lot

We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.
