We had such a pleasant experience. We could easily imagine ourselves on an island holiday without the long expensive flights! The tropical garden with bright blue pool in this intimate and private setting transported us away from our busy lives. We liked the main suite bed with quality mattress and proper pillows (the kids were happy too!) The shower head was perfect after a long day on the beach. Then the cutlery and specifically the two brown coffee cups and coffee plunger! These small details together with comforts such as dishwasher and laundry facility added to the convenience and all round great experience. Safe parking and security on patrol. Lastly, but not least our hosts were great. Just the right amount of attention and support. Thank you Rene!

The location was beautiful. Our room overlooked the bay and the sun greeted us every morning. The breakfast was lovely. There was everything you could possibly want. We arrived after 9pm and the night guard who was running the reception was very on the ball. We drove up to the gate, he was expecting us, and opened the gate for our car immediately. He took us to our room, showed us the beds, and duvets that were neatly packed away in the cupboard, the bathroom, the heating, the TV, they had international sockets to recharge European cell phones, etc. Very comfortable beds. The night guard showed us where we could park. The shower in the bathroom was probably the best one we had staying in many places in SA, as the hot and cold water ran constantly and one did not have to adjust the water when the hot or cold cut out! So basically a good bathroom. A safe place to stay as you are in a kind of compound with a wall around the whole place. We were heading to the Mandela museums at Qunu and Umtata, so staying in Butterworth was the perfect place to overnight.
