This is a beautiful hotel with character which is very close to the centre of Seefeld and the railway station. The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size with a pleasant balcony. Breakfast was superb and very well presented. We cannot fault this hotel and highly recommend it for a stay in Seefeld.

Recently stayed for three nights and cannot fault a single thing. Staff are a credit to the hotel, reception and bar / restaurant staff specifically and with hindsight I am sorry I did not get names to mention here. Room was very comfortable, good options for breakfast. We ate in the restaurant one night of our stay and like other reviews, the food was amazing. Our room and all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean.

The hotel, the amenities and especially the cuisine corresponds to a 4 star standard. Built in the typical Tyrolean wooden style, the atmosphere is quite charming and welcoming. The staff is really polite and helpful. Our 2 year old son was roaming around the whole time at dining times, peeking here and there where he should not be, and everyone from the staff has been very patient and kind to him and us. Highly recommend to dine at the restaurant of the hotel - the food is amazing! I loved the mini "newspaper/leaflet" left every morning on each table which had obviously been prepared and printed especially for each day. It contained the weather forecast, the menu for the evening and ideas what to do and see in the area on this specific day, events you could attend which were happening on the day. It was really lovely and informative, I have never seen anything like this before. The SPA is nice and cozy, however we did not use it as we were with children and the lounge/sauna area is forbidden for under 15 years of age. The hotel has an entertainment area in the basement with pool table, table tennis, darts, baby foot and a room with toys for the smaller kids, which we used every evening before dinner. We signed up our 11 old son (medium advanced at ski) at Alpinpower Seefeld ski school which has a gathering point in a walking distance from the hotel. He really loved it. He enjoyed every single day of the school and all the teachers and is now begging us to go there again. We stayed at the hotel around and on Christmas and received as a compliment a large tray of tasty Christmas cookies and a couple of goodie baggies for our kids, which was very kind. On Christmas eve there was also live Christmas music in the reception area, which we enjoyed.

Scharnitz is beautifully situated in the Karwendel Mountains. Seefeld, Innsbruck, and Garmisch are all easily accessible. The area offers excellent hiking and e-biking opportunities. A small grocery store would be a welcome addition to Scharnitz.

A great starting point for hiking in the Karwendel mountains. The town itself desperately needs a tourism manager. The offerings for nature lovers are unbeatable, but the infrastructure, such as restaurants, cafes, and overall town life, is completely neglected or nonexistent. The Isar River is a beautiful, clear river that flows right through the town; it would be perfect for beer gardens right on its banks...

A great place to explore the Karwendel Valley on foot or by bike. The town itself isn't exactly picturesque, but if you have a car, it's an excellent base, especially since accommodation prices are considerably cheaper than in places like Mittenwald.

Scharnitz is a small, tranquil village with a bakery, a café, and a restaurant. There are no shops here, so you have to drive to the next largest towns, Mittenwald or Seefeld. However, there is a well-equipped information center with a museum and a great playground for children.

Nice hotel/pension, with local and traditional style. The late self check-in was smooth thanks to the owner. A parking is available. The breakfast is really worthy. Although it seemed to be full, the place was quiet and calm, well isolated from outside (sound and temperature). The bedroom (for 3 persons) was good enough for some days. In a whole, I strongly recommend this place for any walk-around in the region.

The design of the place is excellent. Both in style as in layout. The cool place to hang and dry your clothes. The spacious kitchen and the balcony with excellent sunchair. The bathroom has a great mirror and strong and warm shower. All together it was a great experience. There were complimentary drinks (non alcohol). The new tunnel makes Scharnitz bloom.
