Beautiful little place, especially for boating and fishing activities. We only ate at the pub associated with Hinchinbrook Resorts where we stayed and we couldn’t fault the service or the food. We did a 3 hour sunset boat trip with Lockie of North Queensland Island Charters, around the western and southern sides of Hinchinbrook, which was fantastic, the water was like glass and the sunset as beautiful. We heard whales talking to each other from the ocean depths, just amazing. The only negative are the mosquitoes at nightfall - make sure you wear repellent! I popped out to take a sunset photo and got about 10 mozzie bites.

Fishing lodge for trailer boats accessing the estuary and Hinchinbrook Island. Motel units and cabins. Clean. Good condition. Nice lawns leading onto the estuary. Pool currently being upgraded. Friendly staff. General store. Good pub across the road and another pub in nearby Lucinda. We were tourists passing through and enjoyed our overnight stay. Heaven for a fishing holiday.

    Clean and comfortable accommodation.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Check in procedure was quite confusing as reception for the lodge is not located with the lodge, and closes early on Sundays!! Go to the little shop next to the boat ramp and make it before 12 midday on Sundays.

Location is great, we stayed in the Vila Rooms, rooms side by side as requested the Hotel part is of this establishment is a great venue, outdoor and undercover dining next to the pool, with plenty of TV screens showing all the sports being played. Alternatively there is a quiet dining room away from the excitement of the outside dining The staff could not be more helpful Seeing the cane trains go by was nice (these didn’t disturb sleep) Walking distance to store, beach and peir

The restaurant was very enjoyable, recommended. Free drink first those staying and reasonable prices. Open Wednesday to Sunday, I'd go back again happily. Nice garden area. Lucinda is a favourite of fishermen so was well regarded by the anglers.

Enjoyed our meals at the local Hotel, the Slipway Restaurant at Dungeness and the fish and chip shop at the edge of the Park.
