The name of the Hotel Integra could be programme, but there is no integrity here. Those who love kitsch are certainly in the right place. But the tastelessness leaves a bitter taste even for the uninitiated. Right next to the reception hangs the portrait of hotel owner Slobodan Stankovic, sadly recently deceased, and his blond wife. Slobodan Stankovic was a building contractor who, thanks to his closeness to the authoritarian president of Republika Srpska, has won his company Integral important contracts for road construction in the genocide-based entity of Bosnia-Herzegovina. This has earned him the dubious honour of being placed on the sanctions list by the US. "Both Stankovic and Integral have been linked to corruption in the construction sector, where Integral has been awarded some of the biggest projects in the RS thanks to its proximity to RS leadership. Major construction projects are often handed to Stankovic without fair and open competition. The vast majority of Stankovic's wealth comes from public money," said the US Treasury Department's 2022 decision. It is actually astonishing that Hotel Integra can be represented on the website of a US platform. Those who stay here may unintentionally support a company that owes its position to its proximity to an authoritarian ruler and is said to have made a name for itself through corruption. It is also said that the hotel has been set up in a former radio and television headquarters that is actually a listed building. According to reports, the construction company Integral and Hotel Integra.

The Fiver restaurant and Fort were excellent.

The Fiver restaurant and Fort were excellent. Seeing the religious and historical, sites, friendliness of the local population including the host. The down side was the enormous amount of litter and rubbish around the historical castle and on many of the the streets.

Banja Luka is a great vibrant city with many cafes and restaurants. There are many parks and playgrounds for children. The food is amazing and the nature is everywhere, from plenty of trees, mountains and rivers.

Banja Luka is a city with fast development.

Banja Luka is a city with fast development. It is nice and clean and successfully combines the best Balcan traditions in culture and cuisine with European bars, restaurants, concerts and places for fun. The people are friendly and polite. The prices are quite acceptable and the service is at good level everywhere. You will usually not have any issues with communication in English. Spring, summer and autumn seasons are best option to go there. You should visit "Casamat" restaurant in the "Kastel" (fortress), or sit beside the river Virbas in "Villa Vrbas" restaurant, or literally in the river at Splav (raft) restaurant. Then go to the city square and the church, look around the marketplace. All restaurants here offer delicious local food, but you can easily find European and especially Italian food. Don`t miss "McTire" pub and the other pubs with live music in the evenings.

Banja Luka is a small tovi in RS that has a briliant soul. Best time to visit is at the end of the spring or at the beginning of the autumn. It is also much better to have a companion or someone local to go out with. Great cafes and restaurants with good local cuisine. And please leave politics at home and enjoy.

Banja luka is a lovely small city.

Banja luka is a lovely small city. I stayed two days, one day for exploring the city a bit, and the other day for hiking in the nature. It definitely worth the visit, but I found 2-3 days are sufficient as they are not much to explore as a traveler. There are also not many interesting museums that show the culture and history of the city and country.

Impeccable cleanliness. The host is a true gentleman. In this apartment you literally have everything you need, literally everything. And no, I'm not exaggerating when I write this. One of the best, if not the best accommodation in Banja Luka. Warm recommendations.

The apartment is right in the heart of Banja Luka so everything I wanted was a short walk away. And when I needed to go by car the parking is in a private backyard behind the building. The apartment itself is spacious and neat, and I'll definitely stay there again. Also the host is amazing and went out of his way to make my stay better!
