Super nice, such a friendly owner and the stay was just nice and easy overall, it felt more like we were visiting family. Perfect for traveling with young kids since there was a space to play outside as well. Room was clean and we enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony in the evening. We were on our way somewhere else so only stayed one night but would definitely come back again. Breakfast was fantastic!

The apartment itself was spacious and impeccably maintained, featuring two cozy bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchenette. The outdoor swimming pool and the sauna provided a spa-like experience right at our doorstep. After days spent exploring nearby Ghent and Bruges, these facilities were a welcome indulgence. Speaking of location, La Maison de Nikolas is perfectly situated. Just a short drive from the historic cities of Ghent and Bruges, we found it easy to immerse ourselves in Belgian culture and cuisine before retreating to our peaceful haven. The electric bikes enabled us to explore the green neighbourhood as well. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction did not go unnoticed. In summary, La Maison de Nikolas offered a delightful contrast to city life—a place where one can unwind, recharge, and appreciate the simple pleasures of the countryside. We spent two nights in this beautiful BnB. Granny and her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are so friendly and welcoming who make us feel like home. Hearty breakfast, with grapes from their green house, homemade jam and surprisingly eggs from their farm, made us feel healthy and happy for a new day. We also enjoyed to walk in their garden. Thanks to the son-in-law, we learned a little about what happened in Melle in the WW 1 after having visited the 1914 bunker. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the panorama terrace. What a peaceful and perfect place to stay.

The spa facilities were great. We enjoyed using the jacuzzi / hot tub & Sauna. Very clean and spacious apartment. A large selection of tv channels to watch. Wim made us feel welcome and was very helpful. She made us feel at home. The apartment is very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious, all freshly prepared and plentiful. A nice coffee machine to give you a great coffee with breakfast. You can eat indoors or in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend if you would like a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Our B&B was wonderful, unfortunately it was very cold and a bit bitter in februari, was there for family business, but enjoyed the time in Wetteren, stayed over 2 nights in Gent and must admit there is a lot more to offer in Gent, really enjoyed the city of Gent 🫠

Best: clean, modern, room smells good. Bed comfortable.

Best: clean, modern, room smells good. Bed comfortable. Easy parking. Worst: 10 mile detour to get there. No hair dryer, no coffee making facilities in the room. Old thin, frayed towels. Staff talking loudly outside our room window late in the evening when we were trying to sleep. Eating out: Ghent is full of eateries - just 7 mile away.

We liked the very friendly and helpful host and the spacious apartment. The location was on the edge of Wetteren but walking distance to some good facilities. Including a great pop up bar and lovely woodland area. Plus it was easy to get to Ghent, Brussels Brugge and the coast (about 1 hour or so away)

I needed a place between Brussels and Bruges and this one had a good price with breakfast incl for 3 ppl. This hotel is also 15 min away from Ghent so we could take advantage to visit it. The breakfast was good with all kind of food. It has also a free parking.
