Breakfast was exceptional. Fruit coffee juice and toast to start witha choice of 5 cooked to order mains including a burrito, waffles, granola and youghert. Hotel is brand new with a lovely minimalist design, polished concrete floors, wood and glass over three blocks. Didnt fully appreciate that this is run to generate profits that go entirely educating local kids. Amazing. Dutch couple running it are inspiring. Great bedding options ( we got 3 singles)

The views were outstanding. Spacious room with nice facilities. Chris , the owner is absolutely charming and helpful. Location just outside Santa Elena with a very good restaurant 100m walk. Well stocked supermarket just back on the main road for breakfast provisions

This hotel among the forest is so beautiful! You stay in the middle of flowers, amazing trees, teaming with life: birds, monkeys, coatimundis...We really enjoyed walking the 1hr trail starting from the hotel. Restaurant and bar are very stylish and the view breathtaking. The bedrooms are very peaceful and comfortable with huge king size beds. We enjoyed the little wood souvenir we took home with us.

The house (the big one) exceeded our expectations: spacious, all necessary kitchen utilities available, privacy and comfort. The reception staff deserve our special thanks. They did much more than could be reasonably expected to organise the sending of the documents one of our friends had forgotten in Osa peninsula. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Thank you!

Absolutely breathtaking! Our stay at Hotel Belmar was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the stunning landscape of Monteverde, this hotel boasts the most picturesque location imaginable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, offering a delightful taste of local cuisine. And oh, the view! Waking up to the breathtaking vistas from our terrace each morning was simply unforgettable. To top it all off, we even had the incredible experience of sharing breakfast with some curious monkeys. The location was perfect for our requirements - only a short drive to the Monterverde Ecological Park, the El Tigre waterfalls and a night hike we'd booked. Bars and restaurants were about 5 mins drive away and there was a good range to choose from. There was plenty of parking at the accommodation and only a very small number of rooms (5?) - also a jacuzzi outside that was on and hot 24/7. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice - a good supply of hot and cold running water, a fridge in the room, a small electric heater (which we did need!) and internet was reliable.
