We were a bit surprised to find that bed linen rental is common in Denmark, but since we were traveling by car, we had brought our own bed linen and towels. Considering that Denmark is indeed a very expensive country — our Christmas trip to London for seven days actually turned out cheaper — we try to save on things like bed linen, towels, and other similar expenses whenever possible. In any case, this was the best, cleanest, and most affordable option in terms of price. Everything was clean, the surroundings were tidy. The kids loved it! A very nice basement with table hockey, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, table tennis, a volleyball net outside — everything was perfect!

The park at Fredensborg Palace was a daily delight for me, offering a high level of relaxation – definitely worth seeing! Not far away are Kronenborg Castle and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, both also worth a visit. It's worthwhile driving along the coastal road from Helsingør westwards towards Tisvilde.

It showed that I paid for the stay twice.

It showed that I paid for the stay twice. Once to Booking and once to Frefensborg. I would like to get a refund for 1 night. I left my Visa card number but have not received any money yet. It was in August. Best regards, Britt-Inger Lundgren

Nice and relaxing environment.

Nice and relaxing environment. Nice restaurant with good food both on plates and in glasses. The queue for the breakfast buffet was not exactly corona-adapted. A cramped little corner that everyone has to get into to get plates, bread, etc.

A spacious and well-equipped house, easy to find, very nice hosts. And of course the location: the view from the house and terrace is stunning. The terrace is oriented towards the south so always sunny (and surrounded by lavender). The house close to the many interesting places in northern Sjaelland and yet in a very quiet place. Beautiful Fredensborg castle and gardens are really closeby and supermarkets can be found at the entrance of Fredensborg village.

Very plush hotel close to the Castle/Palace. Larger hotel than expected and plenty of space, not crowded. Evening meal was first class and price reflected that. Plenty of walks available on your doorstep. Local town was quite basic and not a lot to choose from for things to do. Better suited for seeing the Palace and going for walks. Would recommend

Breakfast was both morning very fresh and varied. Had dinner on a couple of evenings as was a bit out of town, the menu was small but changed daily and the produce, execution and presentation was excellent. A great family run hotel.
