Historic and imposing rural town in Andalucia.

Historic and imposing rural town in Andalucia. Set in mountains in midst of olive groves as far as the eye can see. Good local typically Spanish bars and restaurants. Recommend Pregeneros . Clear night skies, sunshine and slow tourism

Montefrio is a quaint little mountain town with a great...

Montefrio is a quaint little mountain town with a great domed church and fantastic views. Most people just come for the day, but it is actually worth a stay. The Monteftur Apartments are right in the center and could not be more convenient. A few good restaurants in town.

The apartment was wonderful with eclectic furnishings which made the experience so much more wonderful. The hosts were awesome. Also having full kitchen and washing facilities for 5 nights was just perfect. Montefrio is very easy to walk around and we found some wonderful walks nearby. The property is very secure and the locals are such wonderful people to interact with. This place is definitely on our come back to some day.

The location is ideal. Montefrio is a wonderful village / town with plenty to see & do a with a short distance. Antonio is a very pleasant and amenable host. If you get chance visit his shop for some local produce to take away with you! The locals are welcoming and the whole place is so relaxed. Almendililla and Fortaleza De La Mota are nearby - I recommend both as a day excursion. Moclin too if you get chance.

We cannot praise this small hotel highly enough. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. ( He even made space in his garage, for us to park our motorbike). The hotel was spotlessly clean,very comfortable and well appointed. It is situated in the centre of town, close to restaurants and bars. In short,perfect.

We absolutely loved this beautiful tiny home with all its history and charm. It was lovely and comfortable and had great views over Montefrio. It is an experience to stay here if you are visiting the area and we would recommend.
