Wow! Our three night stay at the beautiful self catering property in rural Valor was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, the lovely self-catering house had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. What's special here? - Stunning views of the miles and miles of the mesmerising Sierra Nevada. - A gorgeous swimming pool. A good size with a personal feel. - Fresh figs on the trees which Manuel allowed us to pluck and eat. - Quiet and secluded with a lovely outdoor dining/bbq area in addition to your own private balcony. - Secure parking and direct access to your property with your car to make life easier. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Passionate and friendly host, clean, comfortable bed, wifi works well, enough space, stinky hiking clothes washed for free, room can be fully darkened, no bugs/mosquitos, at night totally 100% quiet. I loved it and would come again and strongly recommend it

If you like places with real character, history, and beauty, this one’s a must. Casa de Doña Concha isn’t just somewhere to sleep, it’s a true experience in the heart of the Alpujarra. The house is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm, and keeps the soul of a classic Ugíjar casa señorial. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, super comfy beds, and a kitchen with everything you could need. The pool was perfect for cooling off and watching the sunset, and the patio terrace made the best spot for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine. Simply idyllic!

Lorena was very helpful in providing advice and information in regards to my trek and the weather. She prepared me a lovely meal; overall, everything was good value. An interesting and peaceful literary-themed village with friendly residents.

The owner Peter was the best character in the world an Italian Architect who has over the 15 years of ownership created this fantastic retreat up in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. My friend and I were touring on our motorcycles and the stay was the highlight of our trip through Spain and Portugal. I would highly recommend the hotel, the food, bar and friendliness was wonderful. Many thanks Peter and hope to see you again sometime.

In these times when rural areas are depopulated, it is necessary to highlight (and never has the pun been more apt) places like Válor within the Alpujarras; I hope they manage to preserve this magnificent heritage for many years.

Everything was great, the cleanliness was excellent,...

Everything was great, the cleanliness was excellent, everything was wrapped in plastic and disinfected. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. The house was fully equipped. I can't comment on the surrounding area because I didn't leave the complex; it was also a short stay, to be honest.
