Enjoyed a coffee and cake at the coffee station in the village. Would have loved to stay longer and looked at the lake, eat at the local pub and explored the general area more. Beautiful scenery and we were so fortunate with the weather too.

The cottage was comfortable and had good facilities.

The cottage was comfortable and had good facilities. However,if you are taking your dog(s) to stay there,at the moment the garden is NOT secure, though enclosed. The property is clean and well maintained and hopefully recommendations made will be addressed to make improvements. If guests have mobility issues then walking here would be problematic as it is very hilly. There are lovely places to walk once in the village of Blagdon with lovely views too. It’s easy to access local villages and towns by car, such as Clevedon and Bristol.

Great venue if attending a function at the Lodge.

Great venue if attending a function at the Lodge. Good place but needs some attention to detail. Bathroom, shelves needed and general upgrade. Self catered there, a few more kitchen utensils would help. Very narrow roads and heavy traffic at times. We appreciated the Mendips and surrounding countryside.

Only stayed one night as we were going to Bristol that evening for a family meal. Seems a very quiet out of the way place in a countryside setting. When we were there a group of about 6 walkers were staying so there must be good walking in the area; Cheddar Gorge is not too far away by car.

Blagdon is a nice quiet village.

Blagdon is a nice quiet village. Friendly people and uniquely placed for a UK trip. We had just travelled from Havant to take in the Wooky Hole and a drive through the Chedder Gorge prior to our stay. The Plume Of Feather was most welcoming with excellent food and friendly staff. Pets are allowed within the confines but not sure about an overnight stay. The only downside for us was the steepness of the steps to the landing on the 1st floor, but this is a minor quip because the stay, location and people make the location a must visit and we would certainly not hesitate to use or suggest the Plume Of Feathers to anyone looking for a restful stay in the confines of a rural village

Breakfast was exceptional. Many of the foods were local which we really appreciated. Debbie and Nigel were very friendly and sociable and even gave us lifts to and from the venue where the wedding was being held. They were very knowledgeable about the local area which was interesting as we hadn't visited Blagdon before. The room was very comfortable too, with tea, water and biscuits all provided.

So glad this lovely place was reopened. New owners just starting to get organised and manage the fallout from the last owner so there's bound to be teething issues. Beautiful views, lovely comfortable bed, spacious room, friendly staff. Huge, free car park. Picturesque walk to the church with stunning views of Blagdon lake.

The Seymour Arms is in a great location for summer festivals in the area as well as the beautiful scenery of course. The room was great, with comfy beds and amenities. The staff were really great and helpful, the manager even drove us to the festival we were attending just to be nice.

Lovely location, 10 minutes from airport. Had a lovely breakfast before leaving. Wish we could have stayed for lunch as it smelt wonderful. Will be staying again when we fly from Bristol.
