Great location but also really quiet. It's such a historical beautiful building. Big room and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was made to order, and the choice was numerous. I love staying here.

Such a lovely town, with lots to see and do.

Such a lovely town, with lots to see and do. We had booked a concert at The Apex and the accommodation was less than 10 minute's walk away. A bonus for us was the pop-up Christmas market on Friday 28th November - fabulous! The regular Saturday market was also excellent and there are numerous independent shops in the town. The old buildings, Cathedral and Priory Gardens are great if you like historic sites. Definitely worth several return visits.

My wife and I have visited the area a number of times over the years and always found new places of interest. Enjoyed walking through the old Abbey grounds and visiting the Cathedral. Took a great interest in the highly detailed LEGO Model Cathedral which is an exceptional work in progress. Top marks to all those involved in its design and construction. Look forward to seeing the completed model on our next trip to the area.

The property we stayed in is next to the cathedral and a few minutes walk from restaurants and bars. It’s an easy town to get around on foot but you would a sat nav to find some locations. Bury is about 10 minutes from the A14 eastbound, so travelling is straightforward We had drinks at Whitings Bar, and Sunday evening dinner at Damson and Wild which was lovely and the staff are really friendly. We didn’t have time to fit in a brewery trip but may do next time We visited Ickworth Estate which is lovely but it was a very hot day so we didn’t do the walk we planned

This is a wonderful market town.

This is a wonderful market town. It has the old part full of character and buzzing, but they have also added a new part, which is stylish and upbeat. The Abbey gardens are amazing, with the most beautiful flower arrangements on display. The people of the town are friendly and helpful. I would love to come back again soon.

Everything about this super pub / hotel was wonderful. We would guess there has been a large investment in making the room just so. The rear patio / terrace / garden was like something from a Greek taverna - great atmosphere. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Car park was very close. At £95 for a night without breakfast, this was one of our pricier adventures but absolutely worth it

The room was very comfortable although I was in town for a wedding so I did not spend much time in the room itself. The hotel is very well located with a short walk to the town centre. The shower facilities were excellent with all the amenities you would expect. The location itself was very quiet - it is close to a public car park but this is closed overnight.

I recently stayed at The Ickworth Hotel and was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived. The property is absolutely stunning — set within acres of beautifully maintained National Trust parkland, it feels like a true countryside retreat. The surroundings are peaceful, scenic, and perfect for long walks or simply relaxing with a view.

The room was very nice, not in the main hotel, which I liked, it was in a very quiet spot. The hotel is a good location, is in easy walking distance to the town centre. Good breakfast, once you could find the breakfast area!
