Hot chocolate sachets, delicious biscuits, coffee pods and bottled water included. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. Welwyn was a quaint village with lovely shops. The hotel is so welcoming. From the receptionist who was so welcoming to the cleaners, who really take pride in the service they provide. My room was beautiful. Outstandingly clean and the bed was simply divine. I had a very peaceful stay and you really can’t hear other guests as the rooms seem so well insulated. The bar was a lovely place to spend time if your on your own as I was. I can totally recommend the Steaks on offer. The Bavette Steak was amazing. I hope to stay again soon as it was a total pleasure being there. Excellent Hotel.

This is a stunning hotel in a very charming location. Hertingfordbury is a very pretty, mostly quiet little village. The hotel is tastefully and classily decorated with generous bedrooms, comfortable beds and a chic en suite. The staff are extremely pleasant, the housekeeper (sorry, no name), particularly should be treasured. There was some noise in the morning from the road outside due to a school run and people using the road as a rat run to work but, it didn't mar our stay. Would certainly go there again and were sorry to leave its comforts this time. Highly recommended!

Welwyn is not much bigger than a village but it had plenty of hotels, restaurants and cafes that provided a very good selection of places to stay, eat and drink. As we ate at the White Hart Hotel, we are unable to give an opinion about other eating places. Welwyn was a lovely place to walk around. Unfortunately, the weather was dismal and wet, so we were not able to explore any further than the main street and a few small roads leading off this. There was more traffic than we would have expected but our hotel was very quiet during the night. Welwyn Garden City adjoining Welwyn is obviously a much larger place but we didn't visit this area because of the weather.

Wonderful city!

Wonderful city! Loved the old houses and beautiful flowers everywhere- met a few friendly locals and enjoyed a bit of charity shopping. Busses were easy to use and accepted cashless payments which was a bonus. We ate and stayed at The White Hart which was incredible and offered the most amazing food.

I was in the area to visit family and since they didn't have room for me I stayed in this hotel/restaurant/pub. It was very comfortable and the room was quiet even with the bar downstairs. The bed was comfortable, which is always important! I had the option to have my room refreshed every day if I chose to. Welwyn is a cute village and I always felt safe. I didn't eat in town since I was visiting family but there are lots of places to eat.

Room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with nice linen, towels, etc. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast (choices ordered day before) was plentiful and very tasty, with several hot and cold options. Evening meal was also well cooked and tasty, with good quality service. Good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Good position in Old Welwyn village. Excellent value for money and perfect for our needs.

The place is a gem. A small group of us stayed there as we were visiting London. Brilliant staff, lovely food, uber 5 minutes away and a train service from Welwyn North was great. Rooms were immaculate, comfy mattresses and great selection of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits in the room. Staff behind the bar and waiting on the tables can not be thanked enough.

The pictures do not do the White Hart justice, it’s so nice, really nice and at this price point I don’t think I will find a hotel to this warm welcoming high standard to match it. The best mattress I have ever slept on and a great breakfast to.
