The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- from the reception staff to the young lady in the bar to the housekeepers. The parking in the underground garage was so convenient, the hotel is in pristine condition and the location was an easy coastal walk to everything.

Maria was delivering a Customer Service experience and Nota went beyond expectations. I met Nico on the last day and he also was professional. Everyone was nice and caring. Also the owner, who is very keen to know people and share his knowldege. The room was beautiful and comfy. The balcony was incredible. On our last day in Crete, we drove from Falasarna to Chania for our flight home the next day. I looked for a good hotel on Booking… the options near Nea Chora beach didn’t convince me, but I found an excellent offer in town, about 1 km from the beach, with great ratings and beautiful photos. And I can honestly say, I was not wrong. Chania, like any place in Crete, is a mix of old and new buildings, some renovated, some abandoned. Selected Suites, however, is a real oasis: a beautiful, well-designed building with spacious, modern rooms, each equipped with a private sauna and all the necessary amenities, including a kettle and coffee/tea. The room has a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was excellent – I slept very well on the Ecomat mattress. There are also supermarkets very close by. Breakfast was served at the scheduled time and it was very good. As for the famous Abdel… what more can I say? He is the perfect example of the saying “A good person blesses the place.” From the moment we arrived until we left, he was incredibly helpful. I rarely meet people so warm, kind, and funny. I even joked with him that a Romanian met him in Crete, halfway between our countries. The world definitely needs more people like him. Everything was truly wonderful. I won’t use big words, but I’ll end with a small joke, imagining a conversation between Abdel and a new guest: – “Sir, in this hotel you will feel just like at home.” – “I really hope not… I came here to rest!” All the best from Romania!

On our last day in Crete, we drove from Falasarna to Chania for our flight home the next day. I looked for a good hotel on Booking… the options near Nea Chora beach didn’t convince me, but I found an excellent offer in town, about 1 km from the beach, with great ratings and beautiful photos. And I can honestly say, I was not wrong. Chania, like any place in Crete, is a mix of old and new buildings, some renovated, some abandoned. Selected Suites, however, is a real oasis: a beautiful, well-designed building with spacious, modern rooms, each equipped with a private sauna and all the necessary amenities, including a kettle and coffee/tea. Here is the joy of living in a small traditional village.

Here is the joy of living in a small traditional village. You will need a car. There are great tavernas and bars close by. The views across Souda Bay and the mountain areas just call you to come back. But then I just love the filoxenia of Greece. I made contact with several older community people. Very precious. And then there’s the cats. If you love cats you will be in your element.

This is a house with a special architectural style.

This is a house with a special architectural style. It is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It is situated in a wonderful area with great views. We had a lovely time, everything was perfect. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.
