Very clean, and large rooms. We were on a road trip to Tripura, and stayed there twice - while going and on our way back. Jowai is a good pit stop for taking the NH 6 sonapur highway. The property has ample parking space. Rooms are really clean and very spacious. Staff is very kind and friendly. They also sell homemade herbal medicines and also offer naturopathy therapies.

A super comfy and cozy stay near Jowai. Great location, was just off the highway. And special mention to the friendly staff. They were always there to help us out. Would recommend this stay to anyone wanting to spend time in Jowai.

This place was a real adventure. Going over a suspension bridge through the forest and you will reach your destination. The room is clean, the bed is very comfortable and the view in the morning is just amazing. You have a clear view of Dawki River and where other places are crowded with tourists, here you have calm and peace to enjoy. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend!

It is the perfect homestay to experience how the Khasi people live traditionally. The host, Kitborlong and his family welcomed and took care of us like family guests. They live in a traditional Khasi Hut (exquisite and rare) with a sloping thatch roof, surrounded by natural beauty - including two waterfalls within their property! The accommodation has been made in the same traditional khasi style (by the host and his father who is one or few remaining experts who have that knowledge) with modern amenities for the comfort of the guests. The roof of the homestay hut from within and outside is a work of art. It has all the comforts travellers look for in a homestay with the added bonus of tasty home-cooked (mostly homegrown) food. Our 5 year old son enjoyed the feel of living in a sprawling farm with a loving Khasi family, feeding chickens and star gazing. If you enjoy star gazing - it is a perfect spot with clear night sky and a wide view. It was a wholesome experience, and we would recommend it as a must do while travelling at leisure in Meghalaya.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Hospitality & a Truly Magical Stay I visited this property on 2nd December with my wife, and the hospitality we received was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely warm, friendly, and welcoming. They personally gave us a tour of the property and showed us the different cottages, which made us feel very comfortable and valued as guests. On our request, the owner kindly upgraded our room, which was a wonderful gesture. He is a very genuine and helpful person—so much so that he now feels like a friend. He helped me a lot with my next day itinerary, explaining every detail clearly, which turned out to be extremely helpful and made our trip smooth and memorable. The food was delicious, service was quick, and everything was well managed. The location is perfect, especially for travelers who want to visit the living root bridge, one of the most amazing natural wonders in Asia. I was able to experience this beautifully, thanks to the owner’s guidance. This stay was one of my best experiences so far. Every penny spent here is absolutely worth it. I strongly recommend everyone to visit Ribstweet and meet the owner—you’ll understand what true hospitality means. Mark my words, the experience was magical, and I am definitely planning to visit again next year to stay here and meet my friend once more.
