If you have a calling to visit puri Jagannath temple, you must visit this place. The temple aura is amazing. It is one of the most sacred places for Hindus and the Jagannath temple & Konark temples are nice architectural marvels too. This city has a long and cherished history. If possible, avoid summer heat and important festival days - if you just need temple darshan. Shopping and sightseeing is tough during summer heat.

Puri is totally a changed city now, much more cleaner and much more organised. We had very good darshan of Lord Jagannath. The temple premises are very attractive and tourist friendly. Puri is well connected by train and road. Our journey to Puri by road was very much enjoyable, it just took one and half hour from Cuttack. We had a grand stay at Fortune, beach side hotel and enjoyed the delicacies in the hotel.

the main reason we took this vacation was to see Jagannath Temple. That part was fulfilled. Any other sight seeing is quite far, and the auto rikshaw guys over charge excessively. The hotel is on the quieter side of the beach, and just a short ride to the left is much enjoyable. The beach itself comes to life from around 5pm till late. Lots and lots of food is cooked on the beach, to give one a feeling of enjoyment. BUT 4 nights and 5 days was over do. NO decent restaurants anywhere near.

Any one if you are exploring chilka lake near by puri then...

Any one if you are exploring chilka lake near by puri then don't trust cab drivers. For 10 or more people in one boat for 3 to 4 hours of boating journey in chilka lake its only 1800 to 2500. Don't pay any extra amoutn. Apart from that visitng puri / konark / biraja devi temple and everything is good.

Puri Muncipal corporation has to maintain roads in proper roads towards Temple all around. I tried different different roads for Temple but all are same. If government make a road properly defiantly tourism would be increasing fast.

Never book this hotel! What a disaster! Totally wasted our trip. After booking with 40% in advance they refused to give us a room, the female and one male receptionist used abusive language..After we managed to stay in one room as we're tired after 10 hours of car journey! Will never forget their abusive words towards us, will recommend everyone not to book this property ever! Ban this hotel and there are many good property are in Puri..never thought such horrifying things can be happen in the beautiful city Puri.

This is total fraud. There is no hotel named Meera Residency. Rakesh has created fake hotel profile of Meera Residency and looting people of advance money, then he will tell stories about his hotel not being available due to police raids. I visited the place as per google map, but there was no hotel there. People from nearby hotels told about other people are getting duped by Rakesh. Do not book for Meera Residency.

In many cases the rating is pre- scripted and influenced. However my views and rating are solely of my own experience. It is truly a home away from home, Value for money. We walked till temple for darshan. the distance could be less than 500 meters. Staff is so courteous, whereas Owner is awesome personality. This hotel will be my only stay point for future Journey to Puri Dham. Jai Jagahnath

Mr.Laxman, the day-shift manager is an amazing and humble person. He was the only reason I stayed back even after my worst experience in the hotel. The hotel is located 1 Km away from the Puri Railway Station and 3 Kms away from the famous Jagannath Temple.
