Really clean, everything is on the right place as it needs to be. Rooms is better than on photos. Bed amazing, high quality cotton sheets, pillows, looks brand new. The bathroom is on a level of hotel but for 3x the price. The best place we stayed in India so far. Staff is super nice. Great location. Close to many things we wanted to see. Reception lady is brilliant.

This is a brand new hotel just started at the beginning of May. So it's polished, clean and in good working order. The facilities were outstanding, and exceeded my expectations. I had initially booked for 3 nights but then booked another 3 nights because I liked the place so much and the bed was super comfy, and the rooms well furnished including a fridge. The staff were outstanding and met all my needs especially the manager at reception, Venu Gopal, who was very warm, generous and kind and also Anand at the breakfast room. It was walking distance to restaurants, the temple and the museum as well as East Fort bus stand to go further afield. Highly recommend, best hotel I have stayed in so far and at a very reasonable rate.

The Padmanabhaswamy temple is the best place to visit.

The Padmanabhaswamy temple is the best place to visit. This ancient temple of God Vishnu is very popular. Another thing I liked was the auto rickshaws of Kerala. The drivers are very honest and helpful. They charge permitted charges only. The availability of tasty vegetarian food at every corner made my stay enjoyable.

A perfect place to spend your holidays with lot of options. You can visit lot of places, temples and historical places. But I urge you to visit Aazhimala caves and Chenkal Mahadeva temple which is worth watching. Also Sree Padmanabha Temple "a must watch spot" .

The palace of the Majaraja was a highlight for me.

The palace of the Majaraja was a highlight for me. I also liked the museums in the park, which is a short walk. You can also walk to an interesting Catholic Church nearby. It is very easy to take taxis or tutuks around Trivandrum. I left by train for the coast at Varkhalla, not far away. I ate all of my meals at the hotel. The restaurants were excellent and the atmosphere in the hotel is serene.

The main purpose of my Visit was to have Darshan of Lord...

The main purpose of my Visit was to have Darshan of Lord Ananth Padmanabha Swamy. Due to mismanagement of the authorities I am totally DISAPPOINTED. It has been converted in to a fortress for the fourtune found there which belongs to the nation. LANGUAGE BARRIERS is another impediment. Will never return back nor recommend it.

The city has a good balance of tradition and modernity, town...

The city has a good balance of tradition and modernity, town-ness and urbanisation. Trivandrum has a intimate scale that will appeal to people from large cities, where you can get to one end of the city to another in under an hour. Main roads are just rightly sized, pretty organised and traffic are disciplined compared to most cities in the country. The city is also super clean and tree lined in most parts of central area. I also loved that the city has a good visual character and a good design sensibility - buildings, signages, hoardings, et al.

For a capital city, this was more of a large town.

For a capital city, this was more of a large town. Friendly, helpful and pleasant people. The roads are quite good and the town/streets clean. Traveling around the city and to Kovalam is best done by autorickshaw as there are plenty and available at short notice. Taxi aggregators (Ola & Uber) are available but are not easily available with long wait times.

Together with their staff they work like a family to cater to a diverse range of clients from solo travellers to families. Their garden by the sea is tended to daily and creates a tropical haven away from the rush and bustle. 'The most excellent Marigold Hotel' of Trivandrum and Kerala. A must stay place on everyone's bucket list.

My son and I had the best stay here at Sandy Beach Hotel. Sajith is so friendly and helpful and showed us around as well as recommending some things and organising a trip to the dentist! The hotel is lovely and spacious and peaceful. In 2 minutes walk you're onto a most beautiful beach. There are many places to choose to eat out and the food has been delicious. All in all a lovely experience and we will be back.
