Fun to stay in a historic building that is over 100 years old! You can tell all the furnishings are old but well maintained, giving it a nice, classic feel. Funny that "framtíð" means future, when this lovely place is like looking into the past!

A very charming place with lovely, clean, and beautifully decorated rooms. The kitchen was well equipped, and the view from the room was really nice. Great communication with the staff.

100/10 stay. One of our absolute favorite and most memorable places during our Iceland trip. The accommodation was so homey and well designed and spacious. Perfect for our family and baby. The restaurant was delicious and adorable as well as the breakfast. The owners were kind and thoughtful and we learned so much about the history of the lodge. The surrounding area was stunning and I would recommend everyone to stay here during their stay along the ring road!!

We have a cosy apartment when we drive from Höfn to Egilsstaðir and this is the perfect stopover for a night. We have a small living room, kitchen, dining table and 2 single bed. The studio is clean and warm in winter. They provide free coffee powder, cooking oil and salt during our stay.
