We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

Very spacious room. Beautiful views out the window. Beds were really comfortable. They thought of all the little things. A place for your suitcase. A wall mirror. Hangers for your jackets. Spot under them for your shoes. A nice table to work from. Tv. Very fast wifi. Washroom was big and the shower was nice. very clean. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good. Beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting with a view of the nearby glacier if the weather is clear. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and our service was excellent. This was the only Fosshotel our group stayed at while in Iceland as they were generally more pricey than our other accommodations, but we thought it was well worth it!

I was fortunate to have a free room upgrade through booking.com. My room was massive! I was originally supposed to be staying in my rented campervan, but the local campsite was closed and the weather forecast was for rain. I'm sorry I never got the lady's name on the front desk, but she was amazing! Really lovely and engaging. Recommended that I go to the local pool for a soak in their hot tubs. Best advice ever! Great selection for breakfast

The Höfn Hostel is an affordable accommodation for solo travelllers. There is everything you need, the staff is very friendly and helpful, everything, for example kitchen and bathrooms are super clean and the bedchambers all have windows, a good circulation and are comfortable. You also may make new contacts with a lot of people :-)

Location is nice. We were just traveling and needed a place to sleep for the night. It was ideal for our occasion. Even though we did not meet the owners, check in and out was easy and simple. Very clean facility despite the fact that a lot of people were also sleeping there. Definitely recommend this facility.

The waters and views of the glaciers viewed from a far are beautiful. Also some of the little food places reflect the cosiness of a working port. Quaint working port village. Worth a stop or basing yourself there to visit the surrounding geography.

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in.

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in...

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. Weather permitting, it has a great view on the Vestrahorn mountains + some nice shoreline walking paths.

We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2...

We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2 nights! It was rainy and foggy during our stay so could not really see the full beauty of it. We went to the tourist information center and were greeted by a very helpful women. We had a great dinner in town and also went to the hot tubs about 6 miles out of town.

We booked a family room and the space is alright and the...

We booked a family room and the space is alright and the facilities is just acceptable. The cabins were constructed next to a some kind of a truck workshop and the reception is 1km away. We had an outage and no electricty till the next morning. The host only aware after we informed them during our morning breakfast at their reception building.

Good location on the outskirts of Hofn assuming you have a car and easy to find along to main road into town. Good private parking in front of the hotel. The room was quite large and spacious and so was the bathroom. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was basic continental but was good and staff were very helpful if items ran out. There is one of the automated coffee machines which are quite common in Iceland.

The hosts are absolutely amazing. They helped us with planning our trips to bearby areas. One of us caught a cold. The hosts were kind enough to give us a few mountain herbs which really helped with the cold. They even gave us a few local Icelandic beers. This has been one of the best airbnbs that we have stayed in. Would definitly recommend.

This guesthouse turned out to be special haven for us on the day the strong winds hit the east Icelandic coast. With the well-equipped kitchen, the heated floor, views from the dining room and the balcony/views from Room 3 (you can see at least 7 glaciers as well as the ocean), we were very satisfied with this booking.
