A gorgeous single level red house split into 2 apartments with the owners living on one side and us on the other. Spacious, modern and clean, we enjoyed staying there. We also had a convenient parking space next to the house. The owners were charming hosts and extremely caring, enquiring throughout the week if we needed anything. They were kind to leave us some essentials in the kitchen and even invited us over for coffee. It's situated between Milan and Lake Como so easy to reach either by car. There is not much in terms of shops in the local town of Besnate, however, 5 mins away you have the town of Gallarate with lots of stores.

Patrizia is adorable and obviously very hard working to keep the establishment so well maintained and clean. Breakfast is lovely with a very good choice of bread, yoghourt, fruits, coffee, tea, fresh oranges, etc. Parking is inside and protected and I slept like a baby since no noice to be heard. Obviously, the rooms have "woman's" touch for the decoration with flowers and little decorative items, all very well chosen. A good exercice room.

Our flight to Athens got cancelled so we booked Sheraton at Melpensa. It is perfect place if you have an early or a late flight. From Room size to amineties every thing was spot on. Nice, quiet and authentic hotel in an amazingly green area with a small but nice pool away from the building. Old style and with lots of personality, a library to chill in, a garden to wander, and if you don't mind squeaky floorboards in the old villa, this is the dream. Staff were reserved but friendly, we felt right at home, and the staff gave guests space to just be. Fantastic associated restaurants (both La Scuderia and O'Lac), even though the breakfast was a bit plain. The coffee at the breakfast buffet was well made, and the staff were friendly. The town was lovely, and early morning walks around the lake were wonderful. Underground parking was spacious and easy to access. Traintracks run relatively close by, but the trains are so sparse that it didn't ruin the experience.
