We really enjoyed our stay at Il Melo. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming, we got self check-in instructions the day before which was very helpful. The room was big and tidy, had everything you‘d need, even some breakfast basics and sweets. Free and safe parking on the property.

Porto Torres is a small town and one can think it has not much to offer. Actually, it has some very good and special restaurants and in August it hosts the “summer carnival” which is very nice. But the nicest thing about it is the logistic position ; with maximum 30 minutes driving you can reach many different beaches in any direction

We found this town a little boring.

We found this town a little boring. Although it is a perfect starting point for a ferry trip to Donkey Island (with bikes rented in town), or for an intermediate stop on a journey, but not worth spending even one full day.

The family lives downstairs and rents out some rooms upstairs. The bathroom (shower/toilet) was across the hall and dedicated just to my room. There is however also a sink and a tap in the bedroom. Enough privacy and everything you need for a short stay. They were very very kind. The place is a bit old and it feels more like a hosting family than a hotel. All in all I think it is a good deal, especially when you are traveling alone and need a refuge for the night or catching an early ferry.

Our stay was excellent. The host responded all our inquiries, the communication was great and fast. The room was clean, AC really saved us after hot days in Porto Torres. The bathroom is amazing, clean and fresh. The breakfast was simple, but met all our expectations; they had: coffee, tea, milk, cream, water, toast, jam, butter, juice, croissants and cookies, fresh vegetables, yogurt

It was a great location, 30 min to the most famous beach La Pelosa, in the city of Porto Torres, in a new neighborhood close to supermarkets, close to the sea, you can get to Spiaggia di Balai by foot. It has a big patio, the rooms are big and the bathroom is very nice made. The apartament from inside is very cozy and clean.

-Nice design of the room. -Good facility, working AC, water bottles in the minibar, some cookies, coffee, milk and tea in the kitchen. -We slept well (we stayed only one night). -The price was really ok compared to other rooms in Porto Torres.
