It is a self check-in property which means you need to be somewhat handy with that. Still it was possible to contact the staff by phone and get all the answers and help needed. We did, in fact, bump into an unexpected issue which was taken care of speedily and most satisfactorily. Truly top service in this respect and we managed to solve everything together. The owner runs a small restaurant on the ground floor which we recommend most warmly (check opening hours). You get to taste really good local specialties and be educated on high quality local wines. If you are a history nerd brace yourself: the owner will most certainly surpass your wildest expectations. Note that if you come by car you'll need to park your car outside town, on the other side of the bridge, but it's just a small walk from the hotel.

An excellent starting point for visiting Cividale, Udine, and the valleys around the Natisone River. For getting around, besides car, a bicycle is convenient, as the area is full of cycle paths. The peaceful and quiet valley is perfect for relaxation.
