This place is beyond expectations, words cannot describe the beauty of the view from the balcony. Literally feeling like a millionaire. The apartment is amazing, has all that you need for a perfect vacation, even more, you will want to stay there forever. We were so lucky to find the best place to stay in Cinque terre, not too high to feel the cold air of the mountains, not too low to feel the crowded streets of Corniglia or Vernazza, no mosquitoes, fresh air and a view to kill for. We had our meals looking at the sea, every moment being like poetry, clouds changing the scenery, the boats leaving traces on the sea, the bell from the church telling us the clock is ticking and wanting us to enjoy more of everything. Accessible by car, having a parking lot nearby, only a few steps away from the apartment and cannot think of any other place in Cinque terre that has all of this. The owner was so nice, waiting for us and giving us all the details we needed, ready to help with anything we wanted. If you want the style, the beauty, the peacefulness, the king of the hill feeling and the humbleness regarding the beauty around... This is definitely the place!!! Thank you again for having us!!

The location suited us, we had some privacy, perfect views, all that we needed was there, it was cosy, clean and warm.We had information booklets and maps at hand in the apartment to aid with exploration, our car was nearby in our own parking area, the host was friendly and informative and spoke English which was also a help.What we like about these kind of holiday homes is that you get a chance to live like the locals do,and the property scored high in that regard. After hiking most of the time it was a joy to relax in the apartment, we were very relaxed and comfortable. It was very dark up there, but the property was well illuminated outside. I didn't think to take photos of the inside but only views from the window

Amare Il Mare is more than a charming, comfortable, room with an amazing view of the sea. It is an inspired concept - a dream that Cinzia, the proprietor conceptualised and runs extremely well. It is centrally located - near the bus stop to the Corniglia train station, the restaurants like Cecio and Bakery, the village, and the St. Peter’s Catholic Church. I really appreciate the super clean room and bathroom. Cinzia thought about what a guest would need such as a working air-conditioner, a small refrigerator, a working water heater (that is easy to operate), an easy-to-use clothes steamer, a small safe, and coffee/chocolate maker. The room also comes with a thoughtful toiletry kit, bedroom slippers, tapis for the beach, wine with glasses for toasting, naturale and frizzante water, cornetto and other snacks. This property has a lot of amenities sometimes better than a 5-star hotel. I mean, the bathroom even has Chormotherapy lights. Cinzia and husband, Roberto even picked us from and to the train station which is really thoughtful. Thank you for the lovely stay! We hope we can return again to this property.

This hotel is a gem. We booked a 5 night stay and we absolutely loved it. This place is designed for relaxation and is a great jumping off point for exploring the region. All of the facilities- pool, dining room, bedroom are lovely and well appointed. But the best thing is how accommodating the staff are. All of the staff, but particularly Yaunes at the desk, made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. They were very accommodating, answered our questions and created a very positive vibe. The rooms are large and uncluttered and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinners were terrific. Someone noted that they don't serve lunch, but they have a bar menu that includes items like salads with protein that are more and enough for lunch. Another plus is the free shuttle that takes you to the station or into the town. It was also easy to walk into town on our own but I would not recommend trying to walk to the hotel with luggage.

Great Appartment in the hills above the famous Cinque Terre...

Great Appartment in the hills above the famous Cinque Terre villages. The Appartment is equipped with everything you need. Sabrina & Mattia are great hosts and surprised me with some welcome gifts (cookies, Pasta and Pesto). They provided a lot of tipps where to go, what to do and how to get around. A car is helpful but not necessary - a bus stop is only 500m away and brings you twice a day down to Corniglia which is connected to the train line. Or you just hike down the hills and enjoy the amazing views :)

I am writing this hoping it will help people understand how far San Bernardino is from Corniglia I am 65 and my friend is 69. Both of us are in pretty good health. I thought the apartment I rented for 6 days in San Bernardino was part of Corniglia but it is high up on the hills and without a car it is almost impossible to reach town due to the tiny winding roads and there are no night lights until you get to town. Going by foot to Corniglia takes 30-40 min. all downhill and coming up has been impossible due to the steep hills. Also once you park the car and start climbing the uneven stairs (some are very high) to the tiny apartment it takes a toll on the body! If you are a senior BEWARE! There were 90 steps to get to our rented apartment which equals to approximately 6 flights of stairs. Include all the suitcases etc. it's a very difficult task!
