The rooms are spacious with great beds and a lot of room for clothes and luggage storage. We had a large window overlooking the mountains behind Hiroshima. Bathroom is excellent, with a separate shower room and toilet room. The hotel lobby is beautiful and hosts a small cafe/bar with great ambience. We didn’t try the pool or gym but they are free. Location is in walking distance from the Peace Park and the main shopping area.

Beautiful city / loved the fresh “greenness” the river, the parks and gardens, the food of course. The Memorial Park is bleak…. as it should be… it is very well done… I went there 3 times. We should never forget.

Hiroshima is a place of historical significance, the symbolism of what happened there and how the present seems to be repeating it. It’s amazing how the city emerged from the tragedy, very modern transformation.

There is so much to learn in this historic city - I would recommend a guided tour to hear about the history of WW II and the drop of the atomic bomb; and how the city currently focuses on peace. In addition to the bomb site there are so many beautiful parks and other attractions to visit.

We spent an afternoon in the Peace Park and had a guided tour, followed by a visit to the Memorial Museum. We went into the Museum at 4pm hoping the crowds would have died down, but it was still very busy, so I'd recommend booking in advance a slot as late as possible. The following day we caught the ferry to Miyajima island and spent a whole day there, going on the Ropeway up Mt Misen and visiting the floating Torii gate. It's such a peaceful and beautiful island with free roaming deer! We used the tram (or streetcar as they call it) to get around which was handy.

A compact city that is easily walked.

A compact city that is easily walked. Not that much to see, but a quieter pace of life. Excellent parks and Art museum. We came to see the memorial and the dome, of course, but in fact Tokyo lost more than 100,000 lives in the firebombing during WW2 in just one night.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location in Hiroshima. It is far enough away from the train station that the neighbourhood isn’t busy, but is easy to get to by 20 mins on the tram, and is a few minutes walk from a tram stop. There are lots of highly authentic and nice restaurants near the hotel. The rooms were very large with lots of facilities and space. The staff were also very friendly. Best hotel I have stayed in Japan for this level of budget.

Great value for money and a great location. The rooftop bar with a guest DJ on Saturdays was a nice surprise - we were able to enjoy the Hiroshima skyline with some cocktails in style. The breakfast was great value as well - tasty buffet in a chill cafe on the first floor. Amazing value for a three star hotel.

Exceptional staff both friendly and professional. The location is perfect for exploring the Peace Park and Hiroshima castle precincts. The views are magnificent from both sides of the hotel taking in all of Hiroshima. The rooms were large and comfortable and the breakfast on the top floor was fantastic.
