We absolutely loved this hotel. Out of all the hotels we stayed in for a month in Sri Lanka we liked this one and one other hotel the best. We got the room at a reduced rate online and the value for money was exceptional. The property has small number of rooms yet has so much space and so many sitting areas. The gardens and decor are really nice. The pool was really nice and clean. The beach area is really nice to walk and clean, really great beach for walking and just ten minutes walk on beach to main area. The rooms are really nice, very large, very clean, great bed and linen and areas to sit and big balcony with very comfortable seating. The bathroom is large and good. The bathroom is a bit open but they put mosquito prevention items etc and there weren’t any mosquitoes as they fumigate but would be easier if they just put flyscreen in bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. The property feels very luxurious and intimate. The dinner menu was limited with western food only that was very formal and no snacks etc. It is understandable to have limited menu because at the time we stayed there were only three groups of guests. However there are many eating options in Bentota so there was no problem at all, the place across the road was cheap and cheerful and Nova Seafood was really, really good.

We had great Sri Lankan breakfast, the best until now! Perfect rover view. Nuwan, the owner, drove us around, we rented kayaks to cross the river to go to a really nice beach. They took us fishing, and prepared a lovely meal the following eveing with our catch. The apartment was spacious, clean, big balcony with river view.

Absolutely the best property we have ever stayed at! From the location to the food to the service and to the overall experience! The facility is a must experience for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and slow down for a couple of days! I could share tons and tons of pictures of the property and it would still not do justice to the beauty of it. I would like to thank the staff for being so incredibly hospitable throughout our stay. I wish it could have been much longer!

This was our forth or five visit to the hotel, we hadn't been in a few years and it really is just as good and well managed and kept as years gone by. The property is so well maintained, you can tell the staff are passionate about what they offer and they all pitch in to get things done. The rooms are amazing, the staff are friendly and the food was extremely good. The chef was very helpful with the dietary needs of our daughter and it was really appreciated from our side.

The staff is extremely professional and friendly, and the garden is beautifully groomed, located on the edge of a river. The food is delicious and presented artistically. I loved every moment here. Such a warm welcome in Sisi’s Place, a family run hotel and it feels exactly like that.After the craziness of Colombo it was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast was amazing and so much of it that Sisi suggested we take the rest to our room to put in the fridge for lunch. It’s also very well situated, easy to walk to the shops, the beach and the restaurants. If you miss your train you’ve only got yourself to blame because it’s right on top of the station ! However, that’s what gives this particular location so much charm. There are literally restaurants on the side of the track, it really is something quite special. I would go back in a heartbeat. Also the beach is huge so you’re not at all on top of each other .
