It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Ruins is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff is very nice. The food, the rooms are amazing. I invite all local and foreign people to come here and have fun. Located outside the city, it is a quiet and pleasant place to stay. In all respects, Ruins is a beautiful hotel located in Polonnaruwa. The site seeing of historical places were the best.
The site seeing of historical places were the best. Most of the time we ate at the hotel and visited some locals and shared a meal with them. Due to a train delay, I arrived at the guest house late on the day of check-in, but Lakshman was still very patient and waited for me. When visiting the Polonnaruwa Ancient City, he recommended a cost-effective and fantastic tuk-tuk driver. Before departing, he even picked lotus flowers from a pond for me to offer to sleep buddha!
