This small lodge is a great base for bird and nature lovers. It is about 2km from the entrance of the world famous Singaraja Rain Forrest. You can even see the endemic famous Sri Lanka Blue Magpie in the early morning on the hotel grounds. We enjoyed the food. The owner can arrange a guide for the birding tour. We loved the tour with the guide.

Such a lovely hotel, everything is even more beautifull in real life than in the pictures. Everything was very clean. And the surroundings are also stunning. The hotel is very close to the Kudawa entrance of the rainforest, where you can hire an official guide for 2500 LKR (entrance is 1250 LKR pp). The overall experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everything was just perfect. The family was so friendly and kind and helpful. We just felt like we were at home ❤️ very clean and big rooms, not hot even in the cabana, anyway there is a fan available. The food was SOOOOOO delicious 😋 We did the forest tour with Saman and he spot many animals, he shows us many and many things in the forest, we also visited a waterfall and took a bath there! Once again, thanks so much to the amazing host, we will miss you so much. 100000% recommend.

Lovely balcony. Very clean and comfy. Hosts are lovely people. They offer a great rice and curry as well! Also, of course, it’s incredibly close to the rain forest.

I stayed at Sinharaja Pitadeniya Hut in Lankagama during our research work in Sinharaja, and it was an excellent experience! The location is ideal—conveniently close to the main road and within easy access to both the Lankagama and Pitadeniya entrances of Sinharaja Forest Reserve. Breakfast was included in the price and featured authentic local dishes, which were both delicious and satisfying.
