Very nice property. Helpful reception staff - despite the language barrier. Well-kept, large rooms with large bath towels, shower gel sachets, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities, small tables, and chairs. A lovely mixed blend of classic meets modern. Suitably located for both the bus terminus and train station. Highly recommended room 5 for a family of four with older or younger children. Good value for money.

It's a Russian speaking environment and a splendid place to go to learn Russian. If you reach out there are plenty of friendly people there. It could do with a day tripper public transport travel card. But trips are only €1. Also there's no fully labelled transport map with route numbers on it. Very glad I went there.

Daugavpils is struggling economically, but has a charming...

Daugavpils is struggling economically, but has a charming and mostly well-maintained 19th century center, a fascinating multicultural character, and lovely green open spaces, including forests and a lakeshore resort area on Lake Stropu. The Mark Rothko Arts Center is a major modern art museum, and well worth a visit. Not a conventional tourist destination, and short on good hotels and restaurants, but a fascinating slice of Eastern European life and history.

A hidden gem of Latvia that is worth the visit for tourism and business alike. There are quite many nice restaurants and bars on both side of the river while majority are located on one bank of the river but it's still worth the walk/drive to the other side. There are many hidden attractions for tourists and local authority web page with multi language support is a great portal to rely on. Also Daugavpils can serve as a base camp for visiting Aglona and Rezekne and the South-Eastern part of Latvia.

Great travel destination for tourism and business alike.

Great travel destination for tourism and business alike. Worth a detour to visit one of a kind military Fortress just a short stroll from the city centre with lots to see and many museums to visit and food to sample. Great eating places at the river beach just across the bridge from the city centre and another great selection in the centre at the walking street. Fortress is not the only great military tourism destination as you should also check out the Daugavpils Shot Factory.

Daugavpils is not a huge city, but for 1 or 2 days it surely has its charme. The city centre's architecture is quite picturesque, and don't miss out on the churches and the synagogue. (It is worth sending an e-mail and asking for a visit, even though the guide's English is a bit rusty. Nevertheless a very positive experience.) Also, you must visit the old fortress (take tram no. 3).

You have to see the geographic map of Daugavpils to understand its traditional significance as a city that connects four major cities in the region - the city has everything you need - and all in few minutes walking from each other - and if you compare the prices with that of RIGA - well minus 40% easily.. You will enjoy this place

The flat itself is very comfortable, warm, shows thought invested by the owners / designers. Take your time and try it out. Highly recommendable place, if you need a place in Daugavpils, want a comfortable and quiet flat, located not far from the center of the city, and not crowded with people. What should be taken into consideration: The outside look of the house, where the flat is located, is misleading. It looks much better on the inside than from the outside, as it was on DEC2024.

Honestly, it’s one of the best hotels I’ve been to all over the world. Breakfast was amazing, my toddlers didn’t wake up on these fantastic mattresses at night, etc, but all the love goes to girls at reception! You are the best! All our requests were met. Kindness overload. Overall emotions are so pleasant that we booked next weekend same day we left. Definitely the best place to stay when you in Daugavpils. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Very nicely located in the city center of Daugavpils, but still in the calm neighborhood. Literarily 90 m to pedestrian zone and nice restaurants, Another 200 m to the park/kids playground (which might be important if you are travelling with kids and pets). Breakfast - simple but nice, home-cooked, good value for many. The room with basic setup but spacious and very clean.
