warm welcome by the host with welcome tea, warm rooms. nice dinner and breakfast. They arranged a good guide , Abdiraman, who took us for an interesting walk through the palmeraie and its irrigation system. the effects of climate change are clear......no water in the river Draa. I used to swim here in this time of the year on the eighties and ninetees. dying palms and other trees. diminished agriculture. but still a very interesting place to wander around. see the old glaoui kashba as well. stunning.

Like being in a museum. Completely unique, so special. And just the perfect host: attentive whilst allowing us to be. The hotel is down some little streets away within the village. There is nowhere like this hotel.

The staff was exceptional; we had a flat tire and they went out of their way to help us: putting on the spare and getting the flat repaired as well. The area was authentic, and the surrounding kashba that had crumpled down were scenic. Food was good.

Hara Oasis is located is a true gem just some minutes away from the busier Agdz. Every detail has been paid attention to and when we were there the dam just opened so we were able to go for a morning swim in the beautiful river in the middle of the Oasis. Mohammed, Khalifa and the other staff were so kind and caring and told us many things about the surroundings and its history. We had an amazing dinner (best tajine we had!) in the garden and wished we stayed for another night.

A truly magical experience. First — exceptional food! Saida is a remarkable cook — breakfast breads were sensational (fennel brioche and stuffed flatbread were particularly good) as was dinner tagine with quince; and date and lime lemonade. Then, there is the whole adventure of staying at the ksar: from arriving in the dark to the tour the next morning, which took us around the ksar and the palmeria. Saida and her husband and incredibly attentive. It was a privilege to stay with them.
