We loved our family stay at Mermaid Cove Garden! The apartment is compact but has everything we needed, and the decor is beautifully done. The large pool was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for discovering the southeast of the island, and it’s only a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Blue Bay beach. Our host Stephane was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is really amazing place with lovely staff. Our girls were almost all the time in your clean and original pool. The apartment was so comfortable and as great bonus was lots of fruit for breakfast and observe big turtle during our snorkeling near in the bay. We look forward to come back :*

We liked absolutely everything about this place. The most friendly and helpful staff ever. They arranged for us transfer from and to the airport, a car, a trip to the neighboring island. The room was spacious and cosy. Its was cleaned every day. The location is literally by the ocean, which is perfect. There is a direct access to a beach with a good snorkelling conditions. The hotel provides beach towels and deckchairs. The reef near the hotel is amazing. There is also another beach good for swimming and sunbathing. There are restaurants nearby where you can have your lunch or dinner. We really hope to come back!

Overall great experience at Mermaid Cove - the Small Cove is bigger than what it looks like on the pictures. It is an extremely well-equipped apartment with a super cosy vibe - and it is very quiet (except for the occasional sound of the planes taking off/landing). Self-check in is super convenient, and the host was super responsive to our needs. We had a great time and will definitely be back and greatly recommend it. Bonus point is that it’s super close the beach!

We stayed for a day at the Shandri Beachcomber (bought a day pass) and the snorkeling from their beach was fantastic . Absolute amazing location but I wouldn't stay overnight there. Way too exensive for a dated resort and we weren't impressed by the quality of food and drink (it is an all inclusive resort) but you can't beat the location.

No ATM to draw cash.. most shops only deal with cash. Blue bay has a bus stop that takes 15 minutes to get to Mahebourg from where you can take a bus to any part off the Island. The Blue Bay Beach has absolutely clear and still water making it a wonderful experience just to laze in the Water

We had the privilege of visiting and staying in Blue Bay, and it was an incredible experience. Villa de Alisha holiday house was absolutely fantastic! Each room was equipped with its own bathroom, making it both convenient and private. The house was spacious, well-stocked with all the necessary cutlery and linen, and featured air conditioning in every room—a much-appreciated bonus in the warm climate. The highlight, however, was the indoor swimming pool, which added an extra touch of luxury. The only thing you need to arrange is your own food, as everything else is provided. Conveniently, there’s a shopping mall nearby with a large food court and various other shops. The restaurants in the Blue Bay area were another highlight of our trip. The staff at every venue were incredibly friendly, and there was a wonderful variety of food options to choose from. The Blue Bamboo restaurant, in particular, stood out with its vibrant atmosphere, making it a memorable spot for visitors. The flea market was another standout experience. It’s a pity it’s only held once a week, as there was such an incredible variety of items to choose from. I wish I had known this beforehand—I would have stayed much longer than just an hour! Getting around the island was also very convenient, thanks to the bus services available. Public transportation made exploring the island much easier and more enjoyable. Transportation overall was seamless, thanks to a reliable driver who was just a WhatsApp message away. He promptly picked us up from the airport, took us around the island, and ensured a smooth journey back to the airport at the end of our stay. One of the best parts of our trip was the Catamaran excursion. The crew was absolutely hilarious and kept us entertained throughout, making it an unforgettable adventure. Our time in Blue Bay and at Villa de Alisha was truly magical, and we can’t wait to return!

Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday. There are no large shops or fancy restaurants. There is a shopping centre a short ride away, but in general this is a quiet area, which is exactly what we wanted. It was our fifteenth, yes 15th visit to Le Peninsula Bay hotel, and it is perfect for our needs. The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, but a very good 3 star. Most rooms have sea views. Try the Ocean View rooms. Really worth it.

This lovely home is in the prime position on the point in Blue Bay. The orientation allows for the sea breeze to cool the place down, for warm swimming - you can swim in the bay a mere 2 minute walk from the house. The home has an abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms, brilliant for large families. We were 3 adults and had the pick of the rooms. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook at home. And if you don't want to cook, there are 2 excellent restaurants across the road. Good WiFi on the ground floor.

Great location on the beach with snorkelling on the reef just offshore, just around the corner from the main Blue Bay public beach. There are a couple of restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away (The Spot Cafe - good and Restaurant Bougainville - OK). There is a pool in the other half of the property across the road. The room was a good size but the bed was very hard. There was a small kitchenette with a fridge. There is parking on the road verge outside.
