We loved everything about this hotel. Our room was beyond expectations (Mariposa) with its quirky decor and balcony overlooking the atrium. The breakfast room was gorgeous, with river views and a spa pool. The rooftop infinity pool was perfect for morning length swimming and had spectacular 360 degree views. A a bonus pool and sun deck was just above our room. The location was perfect, next to the river and Coale Islsnd, plus loads of small restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Our stay was made extra special by the hotel staff and the two rescue cats, Elizabeth and Josephine.

Gigantic and lively int'l city-wide street party atmosphere in play every day.. All kinds of talented street performers, artists, day and evening activity. The whole town is in a good mood. All the locals seem to welcome with open arms the entire tourism crowd. Everybody is in a happy and festive mood. Very international destination. The street food vendors, the restaurants, the shops and everything is spectacular., Puerto Vallarta tourism department has really made this town a truly world-class destination. Fantastic beaches and boardwalk, plazas and outdoor celebrations abound.

Puerto Vallarta has a real mexican charm.

Puerto Vallarta has a real mexican charm. It was clean around the turists areas however still dirty on the side streets. Lots of plastic bottles and cans Maybe the city needs more garbage cans so people can dispose their trash.The beach needs more nightly clean ups Overall it is a beautiful city.

In November the pacific was warm - I got in the ocean every day without hesitation. there can be a big under tow however so some days I only got wet and left. Most days I could swim. It's now the blue of the Caribbean - it's the pacific ocean. There are plenty of restaurants and tours. It was a very safe place to be and we walked and took the public bus and uber. We took a taco tour and loved the food. (Vallarta Eats) It made us realize that some places may look a bit sketchy, but they are clean and safe to eat at. And very inexpensive. Then there is some fine dining as well which is about US prices. Cafe des Artists was delicious and beautiful. Apparently there are several bars with live music (we were told) but we were more the early to bed early to rise type.

It was the off season so it was too hot and humid for me but I wanted to do day of the dead. I love Puerto Vallarta and feel very safe traveling there on my own. Think that was at least my 10th time there.

Love he Malecon, and area. - lots of cheaper areas in centro to eat, and check out that don't charge lots of Pesos - compared to those on the Malecon, etc . Autobus is easy to use - and only 10 pesos within the Ciudad. Other areas such as Buceras, and Sayulitya charge a little more to get too.

The area is old-school Mexico but charming.

The area is old-school Mexico but charming. It's not for older seniors that like to walk with uneven streets and sidewalks in the Amapas Area. Great Mexican food and especially tacos. Relatively safe to be walking around.

The hotel is in the heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Romantica Zone where the restaurants are on the beach. It is opposite cafes, restaurants, beauty salons, bars, and shops.The hotel offers sun beds to laze on either at the beach or on the roof top. All the staff are very happy, helpful and welcoming. I just loved the Christmas tree being decorated by the lovely staff whilst I was there!
