The sauna and pool were great, breakfast was amazing, the Bistro was good for dinner and drinks (restaurant was fully booked for our stay). The bike room was very handy for us, we also liked the area for cycling as we came from Germany and went also to Belgium. Our room (Junior Suite) was really epic and suited our group so perfectly, was simply perfect.

Providing all the comfort of a four-star hotel, this spacious room was very tastefully furnished, and was impeccably clean - not the tiniest speck of dust anywhere. The hosts were so charming our interactions felt like visiting family... like your favourite aunt and uncle. They even offered to iron my dress shirt right upon arrival (while offering cake and tea). Breakfast is served in your room at a time of your choosing. And as friendly as the hosts are, they will respect your privacy throughout your stay. With a large table, wardrobe and comfy chairs, the room was perfect for my business trip involving extensive laptop work. I almost felt it was a pity I was travelling alone, as - with its many lighting options, cosy bed, in-room shower and electric "fireplace" - it was certainly one of the more romantic accomodations I've stayed at. (As opposed to the shower, the toilet is in a separate room.) The room offers no view, as it is located directly at the end of a driveway, where a garage would be. But the blinds and curtain offer perfect privacy and, if you want, total darkness. And what's best: it's in an utterly quiet part of town, a small residential street only a 5 minute walk from "Vaals Busstation", where all the busses to Aachen and other places stop. Near this bus station, you will also find plenty of restaurants and grocery stores.

Amazing room, with bath with delicious smelling bath salts and candles. A very comfortable bed. Beautiful scenery and wonderful walks. Hosts answered our messages quickly and we had all the information we needed before we arrived. We also had a little visitor early in the morning :-)

The arrangements for our late arrival were clear. The room was very comfortable, bathroom very modern and the staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast deserve a mention for being the best we have ever met on our travels. Absolutely all tastes catered for, a huge variety of foods and all delicious. We will change our route in the future especially to stay the night here!

This was our only hotel stay during the trip, and it was nice to stay at a family hotel. It was also nice to have our only buffet breakfast of the trip. We stayed in Zimmer 3, which had a small separate room for the children, which was really helpful. Finally, it was interesting to see pictures in the attached restaurant (same owners) of the street (including the hotel) in the pre-Schengen era. There used to be a border crossing only a block away!

Clean and tidy with a certain rustic charm. The host is very thoughtful leaving basic supplies for you which if you are a late arrival you would certainly appreciate. Car parking is provided so you don't have to move your car, or worry about that aspect. Location if you want to "conquer" the Vaalserberg on foot is ideal. Albert Heijn Supermarket within in 10 minute walking distance. Cannot fault the apartment, host or location.

Hotel is a few kms outside the village of Vaals. Nice area for hiking or cycling. It is pretty standard luxury, nothing that will surprise you. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food in the bar and restaurant was nice! We walked to the Lodge for lunch and went to Voncken in Vaals to buy delicious 'vlaaien'.
